Has anyone heard of layoffs coming? We were on a management call last week and the overall numbers didn’t sound very promising. The president eluded to massive changes coming in 2024. Does this mean they will be laying people off?

Keep getting rid of people who do the work. Thanks for firing me over nothing.
@1lco+1oro0dKp: "To the OP, what Siemens company are you in?"
Forget it. The OP hasn't answered you because the original post is an attempt at fear, uncertainty, and doubt. There's also a similar thread with the same title as this one, probably from the same clown:

Bottom line: there will always be layoffs. But there are also hirings. In my department we're actually hiring a lot. All companies assess the state of the business. It's the way of things.
All areas of Siemens are way off planned targets. AI and offshoring combined with newly automated processes have stagnated growth substantially. Geopolitical struggles and surging economic uncertainty will add volatility moving forward. Certainly layoffs are normal in bo-m and bust economies like we are experiencing now.
Layoffs reported in DX Customer Service. Managers and team leads affected.
Budget reductions are the norm and this means lower headcounts. If you want to identify areas of reduction just look where the most "cost savings" are taking place.
"Depends on what area you work in. Energy is cutting back globally and healthcare is always making changes. AG is strong and mobility is going strong. "
So true. For example, DISW seems to be doing well. The numbers have been good for recent quarters. New employees are being on-boarded and a big investment into a new content management system has happened. To the OP, what Siemens company are you in?
Depends on what area you work in. Energy is cutting back globally and healthcare is always making changes. AG is strong and mobility is going strong. Really depends on the geopolitical changes coming due and inflation and profitability of your area. Basically if your area of Siemens is not making money then like any business they will start cutting back and making changes.
