Everyone else as excited as I am that this is Walt’s last month? This toxic wasteland needs a major change.

STS is going to get sla-ghtered. Tiny, Says and others will be just fine however.
In case you worried.
Almost a decade since Tiny said public cloud. Instead massive data centers and paying avgo Loomis trucks of cash.
Ummmm you do know that the first thing Rick (former McKinsey) is going to do is cut massive amounts from our budget, right? Consultants are already here digging deep in to spend to make cuts, layoffs probably can’t be avoided. With an assist from another ex-McKinsey, the new CAO… hits really hard in STS for sure.
who cares - hasn't made much difference since the bond fiasco a 1 1/2 ago - won't accomplish anything as the door boots him in the butt
Hired bots for false dislikes
Out of the pot and into the fire.
And you think Rick is that major change? You haven’t been paying attention have you? I mean good riddance to Walt but I don’t see his replacement being any better.
These boomers are hilarious, they have had the executive council strip them of their benefits and have stood idol when our friends have been walked out the doors. The younger generations are not entitled, we are fighting back against the inequality. Walt makes 450 times the average employee, this needs to change or we will leave. You are already seeing this now. When the EC tries to take away something from us we let them know we fight back. We grew up on a Bug’s Life maybe you boomers should watch it again to see you are being taken advantage of
He did Terri dirty and laid her off after she won Financial Woman of the Year because he felt threatened by a woman in charge. He also canceled the DEI program as soon as he could.
Walt executed his role as a meat puppet for Chuck well until the last few years when Chuck receded, Walt was left to own devices and disaster ensued. His shameful misdirection and dissembling about the treasury disaster was disgraceful and unforgivable. Clearly a guy that was out of his depth in the CEO role who refused to accept responsibility for his failures. Wurster might not have a better run as CEO but he's probably more qualified, which unfortunately is not a high bar.
@1ksm+1vGRXVF8 is 100% a boomer. Yawn.
Think or swim su-ks

He did that by buying and gutting another (much better, modern) company. TD Ameritrade people kept Schwab afloat during the pandemic and the services designed by actual creative leaders there are why Schwab is barely relevant. It was the frontline teams that held everything together, not Walt.
TD Ameritrade may not have been as large. But there was a clear streamlined vision, brand and character to it. Schwab is a bloated mess thanks to out of touch, non distinct leadership.
I’m sure Joe Biden was good once too but things change and Walt has crushed the culture and is leaving us in a bad place boomer company man
So employee bitterness is what makes youa competent leader?
Walt transformed Schwab from a minor league discount brokerage firm into a wealth management giant on par with Goldman Sachs and JPM. He also turned grew us into the largest publicly traded brokerage firm. That is not the work of an incompetent leader, especially when you have a bunch of whiny entitled brats, like the ones commenting on this board, working for you. Your bitterness of actually having to go to work at an office is not evidence of his incompetence, rather it's the opposite.
It’s so cute! Of course we have reason to be hopeful.
Walt was a small time moved to leader from the heartland. He should have been good. Rick is creepy cost cutting consulting.
Oh.
I heard the new CEO was considering expanding the flavors of nature valley bars offered in the snack cart, with bold business moves like this I enter the new year with a renewed sense of confidence and hope. I sleep better knowing their 20 million plus bonuses are being put to good use :)
At my level, it doesn't matter who is CEO. That is so many levels above. Unless they make sweeping budget cuts to my org, which results in layoffs, or having to work double time, really doesn't matter to me.
Substituting one click of incompetent leaders for another doesn't seem like an improvement IMHO. There's no hope for this company.
