Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Equifax’s security chief had some big problems. Being a music major may be one of them Before Major Issue at Equifax

Do we have such Gold and Diamonds, Sitting in Schwab?
If that is case then defiantly, we have some problem.
I know some, whose majors are different what they working, and they push imagination where answer needs logic and bluntness.

How Problem and Solution see by Majors

Comp Science see world if following way
1 and 0 .
True and False
Yes and No
Bit and Qbit (now a days)

When Problem comes
Solve and Not been solved

Music Major see world in following way
aaa and ooo
Maybe and maybe not
It is there problem and Not my problem
Find someone to point finqure one (comp major would be good lamb to sacrifice)

When Problem comes
Run Run

Me thinks me know who op is speaking of. There is someone higher up in schwab sts who is making critical decisions and they are music major. Now having music major not a bad thing. The bad thing is this person moved up by ki_sing a-s and s--king d-ck. Literally. Me think we sc--wed. As for security lots of dummy's in that area that don't care for security or understand the potential damage. Lucky me think security team doing best they can to protect us from ourselves cuz we doing big d-mb on the regular. :)

You are Cherry picking her based on one event.

Have you looked at majors of security chief of all others hacks/security incidents in past?

Assuming they are all computer majors. Would you conclude that having a computer major makes you d-mb?

My take on this mind fa-t of the internet
Schwab has details of all employee

  1. They should collect their major both FTE and Service vendor
  2. Analyze What happens when a Com science major leads the project
  3. Analyze What happens when a non-Com science major leads the project
  4. based on finding start moving forward.

My take experience in Schwab is service side has a non-conscience major the most.
They are a major reason for the failure of many project migrations so that they can save there mundane job
and brag about American jobs to Indian friends at home

Based on your post, writing is obviously not your strong suit. Neither is spelling nor grammar. Communication is a problem. I have seen Comp Sci folks like yourself not make any sense because you can't seem to put two words together.

Because are people of Logic and people of creativity .
We think is binaries , slowly started thing in Quantum.
We do not Assume , we have strong .
and there is research high IQ people have bad communication.

Another Music Major pretending to be computer major.
There some thing know as Auto correct.
Sometime it words "homophone", this anonymous forum not lang na-z-ai class.
The day you understand why I have used Dash in word you will understand why you have done major in Music.

The only part that you got right is Physiology and Music are not the same thing. Computer Science and Comparative Literature are also not the same thing, even if they both start with "Com".

Based on your post, writing is obviously not your strong suit. Neither is spelling nor grammar. Communication is a problem. I have seen Comp Sci folks like yourself not make any sense because you can't seem to put two words together. But I have seen Music majors put multiple words together in an N-gram fashion. Go figure.

But question is write…

Right! The question isn’t write. The question isn’t even right. It’s likely not quite either.

What does this have to do with Schwab?

The example is moot. The question might be valid if it were which executives are unqualified for their position or have unusual backgrounds.

Our executive issues are more incompetence, arrogance and collusion. Solid managers are axed. Terrible ones plod along.

physio and Music are different thing.
Let put this way.
Schwab have the data point they can verify under whom project are success and under whom it failure .
They should churn the data and find out the reality.
Art for creative people they are good are UI part.
not where logic and bluntness is required.
I have seen many project where where people non-comp sci background have ran down project to ground from both vendor and Schwab.

I have been in technology for a great many years, and have worked with many people, of various backgrounds. I personally did comp sci and math for college, and did an online masters in comp sci later on. I can definitely say it is not the degree or edicational background that makes me a great technologist, and good at what I do. I had a friend from college that majored in physiology, with the intent to become a doctor, Fortunately he realized in his junior year that was not for him, after doing an internship. So he completed his physio degree, but took comp sci classes in his last year. Basicslly did the intro to software engineering, followed by data structures and algos. Did well. After college he did a bootcamp program. And was hired as a software developer. He studied hard, worked harder, learned a lot, and after 15 years was a diretor of cyber security.

Above article may be from nbcnews, washingtonpost
there is high possibility, it was PR exercise by Equifax, to prevent further damage .

Data leak was go bad it lost 147 million people, that means near 50% of data was compromised, still they are paying price .

But question is write does non-tech major should be allowed in Tech major.
will people who are opposing will they go to emergency and ask for DOCTOR in MUSIC?

If only degrees reflected one’s ability to learn, spell, communicate, infer and organize…

Mauldin’s background in music wasn’t detrimental to the position. Music is about patterns and processes. One can argue that there’s higher correlation than someone with a degree in another area. Mauldin also brought other experience to the application and nothing was shown that the hiring was improper.

In fact, the issues with Equifax were systemic. It was and is a deplorable agency with little regard for the information they cultivate without direct consent or desire.

As for Mickey land, we have unqualified individuals throughout the firm. Some have degrees directly related to their role. They’re just bad people with poor skills.

Remember, the worst medical school graduate is still called “doctor”. And LAS can say good economy and bad economy in the same sentence while Walt says keep working from home and you must be in the office.

I know some who can't spell and defiantly (sic) need to consider that communications is an important skill, probably more so than coding...

I'm so tired of hearing this story. Her major had very little to do with her inability to secure data.
