I can see Macy's taking some of that stimulus money. We don't have too many options for mid-level clothing in our community, and Lord & Taylor's is going to liquidate. Kohl's is dropping all those celebrity brands. Fast fashion doesn't always play well with the sustainability beliefs here either.
I wish Macy's would do some designer partnerships again and send them throughout the top 150 stores. (The nicer pieces of Anna Sui for INC flew off the displays.) BUT, this time, only make them available in the stores and not online, so people have to buy them quick or lose their size. The lack of urgency, since most sizes are available through macys.com has really cut into full-price sales. Plus, the constant repetition of store brand styles doesn't motivate people to buy something immediately.
Thats a great selling line. Come see us last man standing. Never thought I'd miss TL but jeez.

What customers or merchandise of the bankrupt retailers would Macys even go after? Jcrew, Neimans and JCP have a totally different customers and assortment.

Have to agree with @rhd+155y4Ni5 I went back to work today. Only to find my work quadrupled. Coming back is not for the faint at heart. More cuts are coming and even more c-ap will be piled on your plate. Positions will be eliminated, and stores will be closed sooner than you think, so like @rhd+155y4Ni5 said, s— it up or just leave.

Your probably not working due to your poor attitude. Macy's doesn't need people that complain and bellyache. Macy's need people that can see the future and are not afraid to go after success.
