The railroads (especially UP) have been tied-up with the federal government since day one. RRB, NLRB, court cases, etc. all apply to the job. Discussing these things matters to the people who work/worked for the railroad. Why do threads about these things keep taken down? As long as the conversation is civil there shouldn't be an issue.

@1kbs You might be thinking about the National Mediation Board (MBM).
The following employers are excluded from NLRB jurisdiction by statute or regulation:
Federal, state and local governments, including public schools, libraries, and parks, Federal Reserve banks, and wholly-owned government corporations.
Employers who employ only agricultural laborers, those engaged in farming operations that cultivate or harvest agricultural commodities or prepare commodities for delivery.
Employers subject to the Railway Labor Act, such as interstate railroads
@1nno NLRB is involved in arbitration, especially for UP and other C1 railroads.
The railroads and the unions working for the railroads are not covered by the National Labor Relations Board, because of Railway Labor Act. Please research before posting something you know nothing about.

I agree. But I think there are people that will post a name or profanity etc. in violation of the moderators rules intentionally to get a thread taken down.
