Will we lease back the same office building or move somewhere else? Will it be nearby or maybe in Concord? I heard that they wanted to move nearer to BART for those commuting from the city.

It matters not if Chevron does a leaseback of the existing property or it leases another office building somewhere else. The important thing is that we are exiting an “owned” building in California. Any politician in San Ramon and California with half an ounce of sense understands what this move really signals. It simply means; sc--w with Chevron just a little more and we’ll move our HQ out of the State altogether. Now we just wait and see what happens.
The COL is higher in San Ramon? No kidding, most people will pay more to live in nicer places.

"Chevron selling HQ, moving to new San Ramon site; employees given option to relocate to Texas
Transition expected to be completed in late 2023"
My guess is that the new lease will be made for one of the Bishop Ranch building(s) in San Ramon
As contriare, sales taxes are lower in Houston, too. Prop tax is a tad higher, but home values are about 1/8th! ($330k median in Houston vs $2.2 million in Danville). Kaching!
A 10% raise in Texas is questionable and can be erased by high local and property taxes. What is certain is that your main goal in summer is to avoid any contact with the natural environment due to the heat and humidity. You’ll be living indoors looking out the window watching the mosquitos pinging on the glass, and hoping the electricity grid doesn’t fail or that a hurricane doesn’t come along.
Instant 10% raise moving to Texas and saving state income tax!
Just my opinion but Richmond has way to much crime!
@1jqr Personally I don't wanna be buried in a pet cemetery...don't want to live my life again ¯_(ツ)_/¯
There are those new condo developments in Richmond which are right on the water. Not shabbby. And good ferry service directly to San Francisco every half hour. I could get used to that.
It all started with Blitzkrieg Bop … and I Wanna Be Sedated is best ever
I might have a friend on the committee looking at new space. And Richmond Might be on the list. Keeps management closer to the business. Richmond May do more renewables.
My guess us across the street at roundhouse…there’s already a we work space there.
I personally like Gabba Gabba Hey the best.
Oh, my bad, you meant San Ramon, Ca. lol!
I heard there could be enough space at Richmond. MW loves saving money.
Probably one of the vacant BR buildings...ge, sap, bank of the west, pg&e also have all left town
Wasn't that long ago we sold out of the Concord office, mate.
