First of all, will they ever realize that most managers are absolutely unnecessary here because they do almost nothing?

state farm continues to hang on to a 1960's agency model. sheesh
most agents i know don't know their butts from a ho-e in the ground and play golf four days a week
As a past Agent I’ve researched and I don’t feel comfortable with the sales system, leads, marketing agenda, admin systems and how policyholders and data & employees are being exploited.
I certainly would not want to be part of it
And what’s being drilled into their brains and being pulled into.

And outside of SF, who should just tell agent's to shut up and dance monkey, agent's have the value, standing, and reputation right next to a used car salesman. The board and numerous Execs tried to get Ed to do away with agents, with the Agency 2000 Program, but he chickened out! Tipsy will, just not yet. You have to get all the infrastructure in place before swinging the Ax!!!
@1xmv Have you heard of subrogation and arbitration? Obviously not.
Of course the vast majority of our customers have no claims or if they do it is once every decade. Not one PH could recite a claims persons name. Claims has the same value in the customers eyes as the cashier at a retail store.
Agents may bring in 98% but we are an insurance company and paying claims is the promise keeping end. There are other cheaper methods of selling insurance.
Former Claim Rep and current agent. Even today, 98% of INCOMING money comes through agents. Claims-zero%.
There's your answer workers who provide the service. They obviously think they are better than, have better judgment, and thin they are elites over you. They have forgotten about the forgotten ones who made them great. This is evidenced by the comment of @1jgh. People like that are sick and forgot about the power of the worker who provides the benefits they get. Probably exactly like Biden who said he drove an eighteen wheeler when he would not know what to do if he ever got into the cab. The leadership today is brain dead. They go to the co-----l parties, talk the talk, and CANNOT walk the walk. If you asked them outside the would put their tail between their legs and run to mommy. I'm really sick and tired of these wannabes. Sorry for the true rant!
@1jgh You forget mgmt is entitled to information the workers are not. You consider your team inmates? That speaks volumes. You are what they NEED to get rid of!
The solution to this problem does not include letting the inmates run the asylum. There may be unnecessary, incompetent and lazy managers just like there are unnecessary, incompetent and lazy. You want proof, how many feedback forms have you sent to your peers this year because they did not do their job?
Managers and Agent Offices are draining the company dry, at the expense of the claim handlers.
OP, you are wrong. Maybe it depends on the department you work in. Maybe you just don’t like managers in general. However, the SF managers I know are working very hard and they are under immense pressure (now more than ever).
The best SF managers I’ve encountered were experts in their department. If you never worked in Auto Total Loss, you have no business being an Auto Total Loss team manager. But that’s what’s happened these last few years so I understand why some people would be frustrated.
Managers. Take your metrics and put them where the sun doesn't shine. None focus on the customer. More BS to justify your existence.
Sorry, your pay stagnates because we need more managers to deal with metrics
Nope. They keep promoting their buds and making everyone else and employees do what they should be doing. Being working managers. Not meeting stars trying to make a name. Wasteful
They don’t live or work in the real world. Not good model or practices
Farm is a buddy and bully model and performance system. Was before. Worse now.
Click and long term no nothings get ahead by using people and acting like they understand tech and business
A shame
Easy to be a manager at farm. Play the system. Use and exploit people who actually do the work they are to be doing amd take credit for your hard work and act the pretend show.
Everyone is related to each other. Makes a difference too.
People have a right to observations Seems like the trolls are the whiners.
Get a grip or don’t get on this forum Grow up and actually think. Those folks don’t fit the Farm Model though. Thinkers
& hard workers.
People are slaves to them and tools Not all Mgrs exploit others. But many do. Naysayers love nepotism. Amd moving up by doing literally nothing except smoosh and delegate
Them check mark their goals for raises and promotions.
Yeah team!!!
The OP is a good example of why SF needs to revisit its hiring standards.
Whine, moan, whine, moan. Create thread after annoying thread with your lamentations. Here's your attention. Jobs are everywhere, look for one.
