Because if you help them with setup then they might just give you a 10 on a survey which means vz has to pay its employees. The goal here is to not have to pay employees extra. So no setup. No helping. No paycheck. #vzgoals
Brought to you in part by the failing ceo himself.
Newbie question : I know I’m suppose to offer digital tools to set up later but why do most of those customers always come back ? Why ? Because “ set up laters “ rarely work and the customer just comes back later to do what should have been done in the first place. That’s what Verizon still doesn’t understand or does and just chooses to ignore it. Customers come to brick and mortar BECAUSE they need help or else they would just order it online. The expectation will never go away as long as brick and mortar is open.
Yeah I wouldn’t punish anyone I actually like.
Yes... after the newbies finish training they are to find out that metrics matter, surveys crush your soul, forced use of quote tool is unnecessary, oh and the giant waste of time...salesforce calls... yesss just let the poor newbs find out how much this job really sucks when they realize about 90% of the people walking through the door are the ones that are "not technologically savvy" and you have to sell them the world and somehow not help them setup their phone but make sure to get a good survey. Yesss.... good job leadership team bravo good show
I’ve talked to several newbies in my district and there is a common theme among them regarding the job. They all say that the retail specialist position is a lot more complicated then they thought. Most went into it thinking they would just clerk transactions and help with bill payments and basic tech questions. I don’t see many lasting through 4th quarter. There are definitely better jobs out there especially if you are just starting off. No referrals from me.
