Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

RK Dixon is in real trouble

I have been at this company over 10 years and I have never seen anything like this. We have lost so many people lately. Even IT has been affected. Four people have been hired by the competition in the past few months alone. Leadership hasn’t done anything to make things better here. All they do is threaten people to stay and then say awful things to the people or about the people after they leave. Our president should be fired for some of the things he has said. I don’t think this company will last much longer.

#1 in sales across the nation for a company trading at $14 something a share, down 65% from a year ago.

You’re right. Go RKD!

Yet in the midst of all this turmoil, personal vendettas, amateur opinions, what? RKD Xerox Core is #1 in sales across the nation. Let the customer vote with their trust and dollars! Those with a bone to pick or faint of heart will take the attitude with them. I hope you heal from your wounds and move on. We have :). Go RKD!

When the Dixon’s left, any semblance of leadership went right out the door with them. Inferior product, inferior corporation, yuppie db running the company. What could go wrong?

Canon and Lanier dropped RKD as soon as the announcement with Xerox. Lost the support for parts and RKD had to scramble for parts.

Its been apparent for many years even before Vas---ne started closing cores down like they were bed bug infested 1 hr motels that RK was in trouble....when other cores that were part of global were still selling other than XROX machines and easing into tranition....the new post Dixon regime demeaned its best sellers in Canon and Lanier....then we were left with a product line that was so inferior to what we built our name on we did what every smart sales management would do....jack up pricing and try to tell customers its still rkdixon....yea its RKD that cant use new parts when that xerox breaks down...so then lets blame the easist target....service techs....they wernt doing thier jobs...we gave them premium bubblegum to fix those machines!

RK Dixon has no problem hiring from the competition but if an employee wants to move on, they freak out and send lawyers after him or her. Sounds ethical.

@ 1lkl+15xxtYrO Needs to get the new president out of his mouth for a bit. No one cares what your opinion is. You sound like HR.

Talking about ruling by intimidation, I heard RK Dixon sent the lawyers after one of the guys who left. They treat you like sh__ but don’t even think about leaving.

The language used by @1ihd+15xxtYrO (probably one of the “leaders”) sums it up completely at RK Dixon. You are told your opinion means nothing. You are told to shut up and get your head out of your a__. The lack of leadership shows when they try to rule by intimidation. Guess what? No one cares anymore.

I agree with what is being said in these comments. The VP of IT and most of the IT sales staff need to be replaced. They are not selling anything. Meanwhile, the IT competitor where everyone is going to is kicking our a—es. No wonder people are going to the competition. It’s way better. Hopefully I can get a job there too.

I can tell you there is no leadership at RK Dixon. Customers are leaving fast now. Long time customers have seen the changes and are not interested in our big corporate headaches. The arrogant “leadership” needs to go. The same few “leaders” have destroyed the talent that made it the company it used to be. The threats and temper tantrums from our president has no teeth anymore. Nobody cares anymore. Hopefully the president will be fired or retired. Only way it will get better is with new leadership.

Man... Why is everyone tripping so much... This company is fine and will be here YEARS after everyone complaining is gone. If you think corporate America in general is exempt from this c-ap you are just out of touch. Yes our President is a self centered a–hole, out of touch and doesn't know how to lead sh– BUT, this company will be fine. Like he is the only sh–ty leader in the US workforce. SMH. They are everywhere and if you run away everytime you have sh– leadership expect to switch jobs every few years. Instead of b–ching endlessly, stand up against him and the issues at hand and go above his head with physical proof and have him removed. There is enough people apparently that it shouldn't be hard. MOST of these people are leaving because of hysteria and feeding off each other's fear. Living everyday with a negative view of things and then when the slightest bump in the road occurs means the world is ending to them and they flee. The old saying people who look for trouble will find it is all that's happening here. Yes, change is scary and uncertainty can make you want to flee but damn, it's inevitable if any company wants to stay in business to keep evolving and sometimes they will make mistakes. Sh– happens get over it. If leadership is abusive that's different BUT stand up and get them the f— out.

RK Dixon might have been a main IT core a year ago but we aren’t anymore. We have lost too many key people and haven’t replaced any of them because Xerox won’t let us. We are way behind our goals. We have gone from like 31 employees to 24 employees in about 6 months and more are expected to leave.

I agree with RK Dixon being in trouble especially the IT division. Solution architect, project manager, IT director, security director, senior network engineer all gone in like 3 months. I am sure there will be more. The VP of IT has no idea what is going on. Neither does the president. If you work at RK Dixon and aren’t looking for another job, you should be. Pay attention to what is going on! Get out before the collapse.

Having seen how things operate over there first hand, I can tell you that it's very apparent that leadership is absent. With no Dixons running the company, and Xerox corporate running itself into the ground, you"ve got the perfect recipe for the cluster they have going on now. I just hope anyone still there is looking for something else.

Even the president’s nephew was smart enough to quit. Then his nephew’s replacement quit. Both of them went to competitors. Lol!

Yeah. RKs president is nice to you until you leave. Then he turns on you and threatens and demeans you. I’ve seen it over and over. No one should stand in the way of someone wanting a better job especially since Xerox is dying. He and the others need training on how to be a true leader.

Leadership? What leadership? RK doesn’t have any leadership. Just a few guys in collared shirts with fancy titles and inflated salaries.
