No one will want to join Schwab after this fiasco.

When they start recruiting, no one will want to join Schwab after this fiasco.

I wouldn't say that. Many companies have layoffs and people still join them after. Just view work as a business transaction where you exchange your time for compensation and benefits instead of "The Power of One", "Schwamily", and all the other bullshιt and you can ignore that a company had layoffs in the past.

Remember when you thought CS were the adults in the room for discount brokers? That CS cared about Customers and Employees? Where were you when you realized none of this was true?

Few manage their careers on principles. The company will get new employees and even some returns.

What’s unfortunate is that companies manage in inept human ways. How does a people leader say we are good with remote work and proud of the largest financial merger in history, then announce that they started a perfect, but draconian, RTO process months prior only to then say that they screwed up and need another quarter before they disrupt thousands of households that were rushing to comply.

And this from a man who tells of a company working with him so he could be there for his family. One of his proudest stories.

Trust IS lost in an instant.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. I still remember joining CS with a wide smile on my face. After all these years they finally managed to grind me down. Good job.

Money talks even if it’s little. People need jobs to run family. We might curse CS and IT’s management all we want but most will join back CS in a heartbeat if given an opportunity. Life is complicated.
