Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Agile TSA / C2E > Layoffs

Agile TSA and C2E will lead to layoffs. Think about the purpose of these 2 disastrous initiatives. It is to lower the cost of pre-sales engineering resources while paying senior engineering leadership bigger paychecks. That is the only reason that these exist. It is NOT “to meet the customers where they are.” That is such a spin by leadership to sell this and our customers want customer intimacy not a potluck pool approach for engagement.

There is lower pay and no career path with these 2 initiatives. Ask your senior leadership about career path and they have no answer cause there is no answer. That is not their objective. Their objective is to reduce the cost of pre-sales engineering resources.

Since customers do NOT want this type of engagement and are going to the competition to get real customer intimacy, these 2 disastrous initiatives will continue lead to noticeable loss of business and in-turn layoffs in the SA and TSA ranks cause the goal is still the same which is to reduce the cost of pre-sales engineering resources whether that be SAs or TSAs.

Be aware they will be rebranding as “Centers of Excellence” but it is still going to be the same old disaster of Agile TSA and C2E. It will still cause layoffs and give SAs and TSAs the same low pay and same non career growth. They believe putting on a newer name changes the actual substance and it does not.

As an AM, we have stopped using these programs after a few times. Our whole region stopped using it and we count on our SAs and the architectures that have not adopted these programs. We found our win rate decreased using these programs, in addition to a significant heavy lift in preparation that we never had to do before, and after every engagement there was usually a lot cleanup / customer satisfaction issues. Our customers made it clear that they want a simpler way to engage and better vendor relationships so our region stopped using this.
