Yes the system is rigged. He will never face consequences or be held accountable for not hitting milestones on time. In fact probably promoted despite failing to achieve goals as promised. This is true of all programs in GF
Ok. But what’s the deadline when Vikas should be terminated? Maybe if photonics program gets shuttered like the other previously mentioned examples. But this probably won’t happen with photonics. They might not hit the milestones he mentions on time but there will be nearly indefinite extensions added on until it is finally achieved. So when should he be held accountable exactly?
"I'm still confused why such brilliant individuals are still at GF when there are so many local options."
in New York state are you kidding
it easily is one of the more corrupt states in the union
jeez, I remember commercials in other states where NY would
advertise "if you start a business in NY, you won't have to pay taxes for 10 years"
because they were so desperate
I'm still confused why such brilliant individuals are still at GF when there are so many local options. This board gets old when the calls for help are from inside the house.
Of course, why would they need to actually work and care? The owner, who controls over 85% of the company,(Tim B is thier agent, ..... him), comes from the elite billionaire club in UAE. Born with a silver spoon and probably never worked a day in their life, they sit back and watch the chaos unfold from their ivory tower. It's comforting to know that while we deal with their leadership's incompetence, they're lounging in luxury without a care in the world. Bravo, indeed!
"They must have some kind of superpower—ki s s ing A S S m—maybe it's invisibility, considering how they seem to disappear whenever accountability comes knocking."
The power of corruption which has the ability to get bailouts.
Ah, the leadership at GF strikes again! Who needs competence when you have a bunch of yes-men running the show? It’s almost impressive how they can consistently fail and still keep their jobs. They must have some kind of superpower—ki s s ing A S S m—maybe it's invisibility, considering how they seem to disappear whenever accountability comes knocking. Bravo, GF leadership, you’ve truly mastered the art of corporate ineptitude!
Wow, it’s like GF is a never-ending circus. Every time they open their mouths, it’s another clown act. You'd think by now they’d learn to actually deliver on their promises, but nope, just more smoke and mirrors. The entire leadership team seems more interested in playing corporate politics than actually fixing the issues at hand. It’s honestly painful to watch.
Looking at them old 7nm press releases... Lordy, that's some serious yikes and cringe right there. It really is like them snake oil salesmen from back in the day. Reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons with that slick-talking fella coming to town, singing 'bout that monorail.
The whole setup's shady as he-l, like the mob runs it.

You make a valid point regarding accountability and responsibility within a well-run company. However, Globalfoundries has faced numerous challenges from its inception. There have been significant issues with transparency and performance, often leading to questionable outcomes. For instance, during the 7nm project, the yield for the array of SRAM was only 1%, a fact known to many within the company. Despite this, key figures such as Tom C, Richard T, Mike H, Mike Ca, ....and others managed to retain their positions, while many employees who weren't even involved in the 7nm project were laid off in 2018. This history suggests a pattern where certain individuals avoid accountability, raising concerns about the company’s overall integrity and operational standards.
Vikas and crew better put up or shut up. Investor tolerance is all time low with Globalfoundries given the exact proclamations listed in previous posts here. They need too and will be held accountable for such statements via market and price. So risky gamble here on his part basically put his career on line if they don’t succeed.
Bo-m roasted! Damn brutal but yes GF bullsh-t is documented.
wow! Mike Ca... is everywhere. I think he is committed to make GF banckrupt, the task that Gary Patton could not do.
He is not the only "Snake oil salesman" in GF.
