I’m in MPS (they call it MTS now), really don’t see any necessity to keep this dept after merge with KIOXIA

@3gjd+1nDR4KZR, what is NTDM? Is that the Intel NAND they just acquired as part of Solidigm? I saw on WARN report they laid off 98 people last week.
Hynix is laying off NDTM next year. Speculated dates have already been shared for q1 and q2. So take that into consideration.

What happens to emerging memory now?
Unlike in the Hynix's Intel acquisition case, WD & Kioxia NAND are basically the same, so there will be a lot redundancies. I noticed some Kioxia engineers on LinkedIn were looking for jobs about 3-4 months ago, so they were doing house cleaning too. But it will take at least 1-2 years for the existing products to go end of life, and after that the product lines will be most likely consolidated. When that happens, probably at least 60-70% of us will be gone.
Not sure any team from Sandisk is truly a necessity
many areas here at PHO will be dissolve
