Schwab is now monitoring your keystrokes.
It's astounding how quickly the culture has been ruined at Schwab

It’s true, we had to take extraordinary measures to find out what you are all up to.
This is true. I visited a completely appropriate website for the first time 2 days ago and it worked fine…today, it’s blocked
I won't trust this until someone can tell me specifically the monitoring process or service which is running on the endpoints.
It’s not fake. They may not be actively reviewing but they do have the ability to. There is key stroke monitoring software running in the background on your PC.
They don't monitor keystrokes. They CAN see what outside sites you visit. If you are shopping online at Amazon, browsing news articles, etc. I doubt they monitor that actively, but can get your history. This is fake regarding keystrokes monitoring.
Be READY - they already know who did or didn't RTO when they said they would - they will watch your IP addresses as well as your badges - along with your mouse wiggles or key strokes - time to work on your word documents as far as typing skills
I was with onsite services, previously Site Support. Before I was laid off I never heard of keystroke capturing being implemented. I think I would have heard as my group imaged the laptops and we would see what was installed. As far as monitoring you and watching you I doubt that.. it takes allot of resource to do that. They can do it if there is a good reason … but they don’t do it , just to do it.
@1gqa+1q5jeM86 My director mentioned it when we had skip level meeting. It isn’t set in stone yet but it is highly likely it’ll happen in the first half of next year.
when next year?
I’ve heard this a couple times. What’s the source? That’s pretty bad if it’s true
They are taking away sabbaticals as well next year. No incentive to stay really.
TD had this as well so it’s not really that off the wall
I got laid off so first question- taking away bonus funding? Has that been confirmed?
Second, I had some knowledge about what the firm monitors. They have a ton of employee usage data that they are sitting on. They just never used it before. But people leaders have had the ability to request reports about individual employee usage if they want. Sounds like they’re just streamlining and formalizing this now.
Can anyone verify? This is pretty concerning considering so much of my time is in meeting.....
This is a dealbreaker for me. All the other illogical, shoot-from-the-hip decisions and actions of the EC were at best tolerable and at worst untenable, but if this is true… I’m done.
Yes, it’s legal. The problem is that every Schwabbie is browbeaten and gaslit with the trust rhetoric everyday, all day. And, not that any trust legitimately still exists, this big brother stuff is the last straw.
It's no longer about output, probably never was, it's about key strokes now. GTFO...we'll cut anyway we can now, to save on paying layoffs. This company has grown to be pathetic!
Because most jobs here don't involve key strokes! You probably still believe "typing tests" are relevant too!
I have noticed the past several months that computer screens glitch (the screen pauses), almost like when you take a screenshot. My assumption is it started a few months ago, at least, and we are being monitored that way as well. Any techy folks know anything about what that is?
Wow that ended up on here fast!
Schwab just started (like this week) using an outside firm to monitor work activities for employees
Pretty much every corp worth its salt has the ability to do that, what exactly is different in this scenario OP?
We’ve always had the ability, but it has not been used as a performance function. Do you have additional info?
