Instead of investing in SAs, Millions were wasted on C2E that was only about an Executive’s ego and nothing to do with helping customers and SAs / TSAs. Now that all this money has been wasted on C2E and Agile TSA, layoffs are coming for SAs and TSAs.

This is actually a good thing until they use it to start replacing the good engineers with kids in RTP then replace them with people from Mexico City.

FY24 SA Guarantees. Layoffs, CSE and lower pay. In that order.
Yea get ridaof these SEs. They prima donnas and ruining my customers meetings with there big talks of spanning trees and opfs and bgp and Isiis and stuffs. It’s all rubbish everyone knows it all about Sda and ACI where no need of tech stuffs anymore since it all work on it’s own. It all Simple’s to licensee and Tac fixes it if breaking. These Se make me angry ruining my meeetings with there complex stuffs!
No one quit when they cut everyone’s salary.
Maybe the plan is to get a lot of engineers to quit without a severance.
Cisco doesn't need the best of the best to sell legacy network equipment. Just cheap bodies that don't expect stock.
Forced workload and less pay. What's not to like? I'm sure Cisco will get the best of the best.
C2E and Agile TSA = Pre-Sales Engineering Call Center = Less Pay (Estimate is 25% less pay than today) = No Career Development / Progression = Not-marketable

C2E is coming in FY24 for all SAs. There is no way around that.

Cisco's vaunted SE force was a major driving factor in Cisco's early success. They, with the TAC, ensured customers could consume the innovative technology that connected businesses to the Internet. The cost of the SE force/TAC wasn't an issue because growth was off the charts.
The engineering organization learned a bad lesson from the customers' early dependence on the SEs/TAC, and they launched products that weren't ready for general availability. Instead of making products that were easier to use, they made them more complex and launched them with more bugs. The SEs/TAC became a de facto phase of the engineering organization's development process.
As Cisco's products have commoditized, the cost of this additional development step can no longer be profitably absorbed. Taking the SEs/TAC from the customer base will just force them to find alternatives as Cisco products are still difficult to deploy and maintain.

As an AM, I stopped using C2E some time ago as it was always a debacle. I spent more time in preparation and cleanup after each engagement that always resulted in losses, so I stopped using it. Nothing good comes from C2E. Engineering leadership needs to realize that it is the SAs and Architecture TSAs being in the field and in-person building technical relationships that are necessary to win. For some reason, SEDs don’t want to acknowledge it. I am not one of those AMs, RMs, ODs, or AVPs that thinks only sales gets things done. Not afraid to admit it, I need the SAs and TSAs to win. Unfortunately, our sales and engineering leadership and executives are all lip service on the value of the SAs. They stroke their egos but treat our SAs like cr-p and refuse to pay them. Then they come out with things like C2E and try to sell it as it the best thing for SAs and TSAs. There is a reason they never tracked the losses associated with C2E and Agile TSA. There are significantly more losses than wins. Moving them into C2E in FY24 is another disastrous plan.
OP is correct when you consider the amount of effort from people and lost business is easily into the millions that it has cost.
It didn’t cost millions to build C2E.
Don’t forget, millions in business was lost to competitors due to the C2E and Agile TSA.
