Is it just me and my lack of motivation or do you also notice shorter and shorter deadlines? They want more work done as quickly as possible. It has become a real challenge to work here.

Ibm is no longer a company for balanced work because they dont staff properly and lay off developers
Agree. My product recently switched to a monthly release cadence (from approx quarterly). It feels like there's always a deadline around every corner. And sometimes I've got two streams of work; one for the next release, AND another for the next-next release
Not to mention there are less people now, because of the layoffs, to perform the same or increased amount of work...
Can confirm since wfh due to covid
