Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Intelligence and Titles

if you believe a person who has a higher title than you at SF is more intelligent than you and worked hard to get that title, you may have drank too much of that corporate Kool Aid. Success, ethics and values lie in one's heart and not their rank, title etc. Believe me! Most Management at SF comes with a boatload of personal baggage. Increase your situational awareness around Management. Most are ruthless and will smile at you while they stab you in the back. Remember! Management does not care about the people that do the work. If the workers only knew what they were referred to behind closed doors, they sure wouldn't trust them. They sure as heck don't trust the workers or they wouldn't micromanage like they do. Titles do not come with intelligence.

Why are ET/digital POs and “leads” in systems acting like they need support staff. They are over staffed as it is and it’s clear the planning areas at Farm play along or just exploit and use certain folks while pretending. Must be the “leadership dev” planning and HR show. Told they are too important and “intelligent” or busy at Farm and need direct reports to “mentor”. Mind boggling

This is the real world. Paid way to much for what they actually do. A slap in the face to Managers and Analysts actually worked their b—tts off & those that got let go. Also to those that get paid a heck of a lot less and do c-ap jobs/tasks they don’t want to do & too important to do & then micromanage their “team” on time and tasks. It’s not reality or right and deceptive

It’s exhausting to watch the politics and not real business.

They let many folks go and treat several of the ones left like dummy’s and like high school students having to brown nose to the “coach” or teacher and act “agile”

Areas really need relooked are for staffing levels and roles

Most areas have people that can multi task and do not need “support” people to get the actual work done and know how to do things themselves. A lot of Divas and kings... too many

Exhausting bureaucracy. Why customers and hard working employees with real world experience get ripped...

Neanderthals aren't dumb. They took us from caves to where we are now. The elites forget that and have caused the division and the problems we have at today. It's the neanderthals that have survival instinct and basic common sense that the CEO's often discount. No man is less than any other nor is any man stupid. The day a person thinks another is stupid, they lost.

I don’t understand calling people “Neanderthals” these days. Whites and Asians have small percentages of Neanderthal DNA which is not present in sub-Saharan Africans. Sub-Saharan Africans have up to 19% DNA from an ancient hominem like Homo Erectus. It’s not the road anyone should be going down.

Sounds very marxist. Most leaders are more educated, more talented, and with ability to drive results.

They started this long ago. The elites won't be happy until they have completely demolished every family unit and middle class in the world. Remember to "them" middle class America are considered "breeders" or Neanderthals by the elites. SF is no different and they play into that game. The only thing they forget is Neanderthals have survived a lot longer than them. Wait a time with patience. As my father once said: Give them enough rope....

TEK, NTT, Accenture, Pii/Taylor Corp and other other third party vendors/buddies and “partners” including other software cos have been placed in many Manager and director and lead positions. Takeover. Agenda driven. Not ethical really but the way it is at SF.

Employees and customer data won’t be safe that way.

This originated when SF stopped promoting from within and starting having boxes to check when promoting. It became what color, gender or interviews best, as opposed to who would do the best job. I was told a couple years back that interviews aren't to see who would do the job the best but (a) who would fit in best with the group and (b) who was "tapped on the shoulder" because of a particular box they fill.

It’s dumb because you are probably one of the people he’s talking about.

It’s not just intelligence though. A lot of the time, the people who do or seek to have power over others are usually the ones who really shouldn’t. Being willing to do whatever it takes to hold on to position and power, at any cost, would describe a lot of the people in management. They will put the boot on your face even harder if it means saving their own a– and not standing up to their own boss when sh– ain’t right. It’s sad that there aren’t more inspirational leaders around. Usually the people I’ve admired at SF during my time, weren’t actually ever in “leadership” positions, but they could have (and were the type of people that should have been).
