Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Strange team transition, knowledge transfer, etc.

Since there is no transparency from the EC about when layoffs will happen maybe we can use what we know to make deductions.

  1. Have there been any transfer of FTEs in and out of your teams?
  2. Have your team been providing or receiving knowledge transfer from another team?
  3. Is your team picking up new work from other teams completely out of the left field?

If there is a start date or deadline of completion for any of the aforementioned points, maybe we can make an rough estimate for when the layoffs will start.

Me and two other people from two different teams, one FTE and one contractor, recently started working on a different team. Supposed to be temporary.

Don't take it personal. People here have no sense of humor and only enjoy being negative. I don't know how they think they will find another job with their attitudes.

I was transitioned to a different team and totally feel lost. My original team we balanced tires and did tire rotations. This new team in STS balances binary search trees, and does node rotations…. Something to do with AVL trees…. I’m mostly familiar with Firestone and Goodyear. Les Schwab.
