Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Get out

Walmart will ki-l you and not even bat an eye. Overworked, underpaid, and not appreciated. There are tons of places hiring now. Start looking. I spent almost 10 years there and had enough. The best decision I made was to leave. I am so happy now. Working at a new company. Making more money and am actually appreciated by my manger. It’s so nice waking up and not dreading going to work. I’m so so happy. Best decision ever was to leave HELLMART.

Perfectly said, @fla+1byTNYfg.

Agree with your post. The one poster is a complete bully. I came to say how happy I was to have found something else and to be out of Walmart and they for some reason can’t comprehend the fact that there is life outside of Walmart and is shocked that I quit and found something else. Not sure what’s so hard to comprehend for them.

Bottom line, if you have worked for Walmart for any amount of time, you know how rough the current environment is. Sometimes, I feel I have to take antidepressants just to walk through the door each shift . . . I don't, but you get the picture. I sense a lot of hostility coming from these responses. Can't you just be happy for someone who has moved on to something better, or is the feeling of hopelessness and being trapped causing all of this animosity? Life is too short. Time to give it a rest.

Lots of trolls on here. How about if you can’t be happy for someone just shut your mouth. Pretty immature saying this person didn’t quit and doesn’t have a job that they got fired etc. How do you know this? Why are you assuming that it’s lies? Is it so hard to imagine someone leaving a bad work environment and finding something better and actually being happy? I don’t see it as such a hard concept. Glad to those who left and are better off than they were at Walmart.

No one got fired just fed up. Felt great to just walk out and quit after so long. You guys sound so jealous. I have a great job and am so happy. Also I’m a her not a he. But anyway instead of being happy for the people who have left a toxic workplace and are happy you just show your petty ways and jealousy.

A lot of people come on here and post how they feel and how terrible Walmart has become so why not post something good? And why are you on here? Maybe you should go find something better to do with your time.

Jeez. The people that open these topics probably have no lives other than posting drivel. They sit at home or at work and believe they actually have something urgent, or meaningful to say. Like, really…… who cares? If this is what you have to do to feel good about yourself, there’s a much deeper problem in your life than working at Walmart.

Perfectly said! Glad you got out as well. I don’t know why it took me so long, almost, 10 years there. I guess I got used to routine and knew what to expect but it had gotten to the point where I just couldn’t take it anymore. Last straw was their new team scheduling. I am so thankful I did take the leap, applied elsewhere, and was lucky enough to land this job which I am so very thankful for.

I’m the original poster of that post and if you care to know so much where. It is not retail and an insurance company. And for the appreciation that is true as well. My boss says I’m doing an amazing job and appreciates my efforts. There is life outside of HELLMART. So glad I finally got out. Best decision ever. It’s so nice waking up in the morning not dreading going to work. You don’t have to believe me and I really don’t care if you do or not. I’m the happiest I have been for years and am so thankful for this new job and to be out of toxic Walmart.

Not fake news. The scenarios mentioned previously do in fact exist. I was a five year associate, and recently left this disaster of an organization. Every time I turned the corner there was more outrageous garbage being thrown my way, with no explanation or offers of apologies or additional help. I left to save my sanity, and I am so glad I did. There are a lot of companies crying for help right now, with a lot of them offering additional bonuses as well. And, this exists even in my little podunk town of approx. 20,000 population. So, it does exist and you don't have to continue to take this kind of abuse. If what you are doing currently works for you, then great. If not, there has never been a better time to jump ship. You just have to take the leap.

Here we go again. The "I found a better job with more pay and appreciation" but no mention whatsoever of where. Fake news.
