Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Today!

Excited for today’s benefits fair. Lots of terrific benefits TIAA provides to us employees. We actually are very lucky.

I hear lube before townhalls and all management meetings will be free in 2026! Left over Diddy stock I guess

@jn no more pet insurance ? I have 4 cats and with all their shots, it cost me $1000 per year. With the $9 a paycheck insurance, I could get reimbursed $500 per year so I came out ahead. It is a shame that this benefit, at least for me, was eliminated. I hope the next benefit that they rollout isn't a year's worth supply of Baby Oil from the CAO and P-Diddy's foundation.

Tell us you for HR at TIAA without actually saying you work for HR at TIAA

@jn yeah. I was upset when they got rid of that benefit. Other companies (including one I am considering an offer for) still has a pet insurance option.

Like you I don’t need adoption or other childcare type benefits. But having fur babies (two dogs and a cat) it would be nice to have them covered.

@b8 no more pet insurance, which was actually one of the group benefits that I actually appreciated having. Would be nice to have some “either/or” options. I don’t need MilkStork or adoption assistance, but pet insurance fits my need.

Yesterday’s fair was busy but just ok compared to years past. Even our benefits are pathetic compared to years past. Was honestly a complete waste of time. But I can see how it would be helpful to Denver with so many unknown questions or complexity of their packages.

@ej is a 🤡 and probably just jealous they can’t leave this dumpster fire of a company with a big severance package like Denver folks will get.

Another troll post by our great leadership…/sarcasm
Even the “swag” isn’t as good as it was 5 or 10 years ago let alone our benefits.

Still going to check out today’s fair.
Last one for me because of Denver closure.
Need to know what’s up when I no longer have a job…

Yup great benefits alright. If you don't move to Frisco you are fired ! If you want to work for us but want to work from home, you are fired. If you want a pay raise or a nice bonus---nope. All the money is going to T, the ELC, and the Frisco Fiasco.

Better benefits ? It's just a made up word. A politicians word. Go ahead sonny and stamp my form and stop wasting my time.

Is Pet insurance still being offered by Nationwide and is it better coverage than our health insurance for humans ?
