Will the Delta Variant of COVID-19 be the final nail in the confin for Sears & Kmart

With cases increasing cross the country. Will this be the final nail in the coffin for this iconic company that is in charge of these two brands?

Might be good for them. You want a store with social distancing, Sears/Kmart is for you. Guaranteed you won't get within 20 feet of another human, much less 6 feet.

That is, if there's one within 500 miles of you

@1ejz+1c28qrGS I hope so, but then he'd have to pick up the pace. We are almost in August, and if he's going to bang out the remaining 11, some odd, stateside kmarts, in 2021, he better get a move on because he's running out of Time. These 1 or 2 store drib-drab closing lists aren't going to get it done by end of 2021. He needs to at least start liquidating the US (and preferably PR) based Kmarts immediately so that only Guam and USVI make it into 2022. I don't see that happening with this teeth-pulling, tiny, closing lists he's been doing lately. I mean, come on, man.....give us some nice, huge, closing lists so we can end this monstrosity of a company, already. I don't mind if they continue in Guam or whatever, but they need to be OUT of the US, YESTERDAY!!!!! If the US based Kmarts would close by 2021 (which I doubt), that would be my best Christmas present EVER!!!!!!! AS that song goes (google these lyrics), 🎶 "please Eddie........don't make me wait to long".🎵😉

@1ena+1c28qrGS that's my point.....OP misspelled coffin. Also the "of" is not optional, in correct grammar. Regardless, I hope Sears ends ASAP.

Probably not but I think all Kmart stores (sans Guam and USVI maybe) will be closed by the end of the year

@nmf yes, OP said confin

And the 'of' is optional, sorry.

Irregardless of the Covid situation, the fate of Sears and Kmart is sealed. The stores will cease to exist either way, although a resurgence may play a part in expediting the process.
