Thread regarding Fannie Mae layoffs

Any new talks of layoffs?

It seems pretty quite recently. Maybe they are done with all the layoffs? Is anyone hearing anything new?

@kz most layoffs for FTEs not contractors. They know contractors do most of the hands-on jobs at Fannie for a leaner pay/expense to company. Full timers are merely rusty sheepherders on fat generous pay packages that are real burden on the balance sheet.

At least 12 were laid off today in the Corporate Risk and Compliance division. All FTEs. Not sure if other divisions were hit today.

Best you continue to do minimal work - and look for other opportunities, the culture has changed and will never be the same again. Don’t waste your time worrying and wasting ur own time , leadership will not care.

I feel like we're in the wait and see... to see how many people leave on their own due to worker reclassifications.
