Anyone else excited to hear from leadership in the upcoming town hall? It is great that we get to hear the official word directly from out management. Don't let rumors take you over.

@1dys+1n7p1kEE Haven’t you noticed that layoffs have gone to stealth and secrecy mode. They aren’t announced and discussed at town halls. That would require too much adulting from the people on the stage.
@1dys+1n7p1kEE Funny Our section had a chat about this after work. We all came to the same conclusion. You drink too much "KOOL AID".
It was not informative. seemed more like a script. As for BF. Nobody thinks he is this great leader. He had the keys once before and was fired by his own family in 06. That is a fact not made up. So his comments are not worth a bean. his only qualification is the name on the side of the building. REF WS article two months ago.
The latest comment's about RTO to fix quality is another case of BS. Yes I call you out on that one. Look at the vehicles being recalled. Bulk of them were launched prior to COVID. Two as Deming said 85% of quality problems can be attributed to Management decisions. SO stop using WFH as a excuse when the DATA does not support that statement. If I was hired by a WS Bank I would start to call people out like you since you lack any technical or even common sense when you make comments like that.
The great Don Shula once Said!!
"Strong Leaders take blame for their actions while weak leaders deflect the blame for their decisions.
So the people at the top need to look into a Mirrors. That is where the problem starts.
Very informative Town Hall, with some fun, some refection, and some frankness. Best Town Hall I can remember. Bill Ford proved to us why this is the best time to be at Ford.
For you doom and gloom crowd, there was no mention of layoffs at all. Relax.
That was pretty uneventful.
How many people want to put money on the longevity of careers at Ford they mentioned are indeed not the salaried North American folks?
Of course no discussion regarding layoffs.
How can you tell when Ford upper management is lying?
You know the answer....
I suspect there will be some talk about RTO increasing from 2->3 I the fall then to 4 at the start of 2024.
pointer sisters! luv it!
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it…I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it
They will say something about the poor quality of work, all the warrantu repairs, ford is 120 years old. Nothing will be said about lay offs just work harder or do right so there isnt more recalls. Fix the quality issues before it gets shipped.
I dont think the shortages of supplies has stopped so they might say something about that too.
Shoot. I forgot to register to attend in person. Now I will have to sleep in and get the replay later tomorrow or friday.
FYI,
In case anyone is interested, the TH will be broadcast on AM 1060 for those who are unable to watch / listen on the webbed or in person.
OP, you are one of those people I hope get canned
CLOWN HALL
@opv+1n7p1kEE since you posted this link, Ford deleted the page. That was fast, and tells you they are watching this site l8je a hawk 🤣
FORD’S ‘VERY G-Y RAPTOR’ SET TO REDEFINE ‘TOUGH’ AT GOODWOOD
The executive will have to start off with this article about corporate governance, followed by how they're changing the world.
https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/feu/en/news/2022/06/21/ford_s-very-g-y-raptor-set-to-redefine-tough-at-goodwood.html
They wouldn’t announce it at this weeks town hall since it coincides with 120 years, it will probably be after that if it’s planned.
Jim Fatley posting again?
@OP The only good thing about the TH is that there are no layoffs during that week. I noticed the pattern last year, when they waited for the TH after layoffs to say it was done. Of course, every time the TH was postponed this year, I thought the company would start with the culling.
At this point, though, I just don't care what lies are said during the TH. It is just a show for the C-suite to look busy and engaged with the issues at the company. They don't care about the company or us. If you want the truth about Ford, you'll read it first in some news outlet than hearing it in a TH.
Looking back Aug 22 was a blessing. Interest rates are up again this year so lump sum payouts are even lower.
It is going to be a rough road to back out of Farley’s one way adventure.
Toyota investors are up in arms about them slowing BEV rollout. What are they thinking. A hybrid with a small battery is way more practical for the consumer The Hummer or Lightning with these huge battery packs should be discouraged.
More Kool-Aid everybody!
What the he-l kinda meds you on OP?
It would be refreshing for once if they let the cat out of the bag versus Thanos-snapping everyone over WebEx, then appearing on camera with “We’re sorry” South Park faces. Yearly layoffs and panic are getting predictable and old - we are all just waiting for our severance at this point. But FoMoCo loves their theater and sickening dramatics.
We don’t know if they will say anything.
Poor management never tells the whole story.
