Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Any word on when layoffs might start?

I’m assuming it will be after the deal closes, like with Concho. But is anyone hearing anything different? How bad will it be this time?

That is a strong generalization and unproductive comment.

Why does anyone think COP will hire a MRO employee to take their job? MRO will see the majority of the cuts. The COP cuts will have already been low performers that they are looking to weed out I would assume.

You won’t be given much warning. Just make sure you have reliable contraception available. But if you are in Texas soon they will take that away from you. This place………????? And the country in general………?????

@1dwf+1sMtBggW Do bald and short count as DEI categories for a white guy?

Recent hires will be OK. Diverse employees are safe. Duplicates are fine as they justify the over abundance of supervisors and managers. Outspoken middle aged plus white guys should start looking.

What about recent hires, like within the past 12-18 months? Will they be safe?
