During the company meeting Taylor said the criteria for determining who stays and who goes will be based on "business need, skill set, and performance."
Business Need - with oil demand and production levels on a continual slide, this can only be a wild guess.
Skill set - with head count shrinking and jobs being consolidated. people will be required to stretch into new areas so assessing current skills is a misnomer.
Performance - Managers assumed new responsibilities and reports during last year's reorg. Some have worked closely enough with their reports to truly know their performance levels (without having to send out questionnaires) but many have not.
In short, selection will be a guessing game with a dash of favoritism thrown in for good measure.
