Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

LinkedIn Intel goodbyes

LinkedIn Intel goodbyes are so cheesy and cringe. Most of these cringe goodbyes are coming from those who stayed at Intel for 20+ years. They are walking away with big payouts while those who worked for 10yrs or less are quiet and are probably annoyed by all the a-s-kissing goodbyes haha

my favorite are the ones that read like an r&r bragsheet of their career. keyvan's was the best. literally a bragsheet from a guy who was worthless and got fired. 0 skillset other than finding ways not to get blamed for his own failures. a total narcissist, but what a great bragsheet. right there is the definition of what's wrong with the top of intel.

In their delusional minds Intel is still a great company. Their humble brag posting is to justify to their ego that 20 years of their lives weren't wasted on a company that couldn't change with the times. Which is ironic given that Andy Grove's close friend was Clayton Christensen, who literally wrote the book on how big companies get disrupted because they get tunnel vision on exploiting their monopoly and not focusing on actual innovation.

The fact that the CEOs that came after Grove failed so hard is an indictment on Grove's own inability to identify real talent and develop an executive bench to succeed him. Remember that Grove owned the Intel BoD and Andy Bryant.

It’s not an airport, you don’t have to announce your departure.

Agree completely with @3fwm … I just took the retirement package and walked away. No need to post on LinkedIn. No one cares. Same as all those who are posting “I’m leaving X …” — no one will miss you; good riddance!

I was a 25 year Intel employee who recently took a package and didnt say sh*t on LInkedIn. I didn’t want to be one of these fake and long winded id--ts who list every role they had since the 1990s.

There really should be more people commenting and calling them out. They create these flowery rewritten histories about their careers and accomplishments when at the end of the day, Intel is dying. They contributed to the death of a major American institution, but you hear them brag about major accomplishments, and achievements at Intel. It’s disgusting and false narratives and lies.

More people need to comment on such posts not let them get away with what they have done or redress it up or put lipstick on a pig.

I saw one where the person basically told them to fu----f because of the toxic politics and bad decision making. It was epic!

@1cyz... it's called networking... you posting on this site is a better use of time? At least the LinkedIn posts are trying to be positive.

Keep all your old badges so that you can take a picture if them and post on LinkedIn, like you've achieved something in your life.

Dang dudes or dudettes. Give it a rest. You guys sound so bitter. Focus on increasing your skills or networking to get next gig. Negativity just eats more of your mental and physical health.

I mean, all people who take LinkedIn seriously and actually post/comment actively are kinda pathetic or have nothing better to do.

The only reason it's alive is purely so people can chat with former employees whenever they need a reference or recommendation, let's be real here.

God yes. I hate how they all have subtle brags. Guys you sank a major company an American brand name you destroyed. You should all be ashamed. Your careers amounted to nothing. You careers are pathetic and now Intel is worse off due to you involvement so good riddance.

During the VSP Wave there was a bunch of these on LinkedIn and some guy was commenting these things to them it was hilarious.
