Does anyone know if and where we would be able to find a non-compete document? I checked Work Day, but couldn't find it. I had recent interview, external, and the HR Manager at the other company suggested that when you first come on board they may have had you sign something.

@1bwq+1mq0gZdg Yep, exactly; call them on that bluff.
Worst case scenario you may have to give back your hiring bonus, that is if you received something. Else doesn’t matter, I had a non-compete and went to work for direct competitor; raised concerns and I request for 3 year pay with bonus for sitting out, Medtronic bailed.
I honestly would not worry about it. MDT has so many problems they are not going to bother hunting down all the thousands of people they let go to make sure they don’t end up at a competitor. Unless you are in sales and go to same region same product line and try to transfer your customers. Just resign and don’t specify employer, and don’t steal any ip.
I had to do that for an employer I interviewed with. Similarly, got annoyed it wasn’t in workday, but had to do an AskHR ticket
Hello - I asked for mine a few months ago via AskHR. They were quick to process my question and emailed it to me within 24hrs.
Read past the headlines - the law banning non-competes in Minnesota only applies to contracts dated AFTER the new law went into effect on April 14, 2023. If you signed on before then and your contract has a non-compete it is grandfathered and enforceable.
Yes I was able to get mine through AskHR. It took about a week.
MN State abolished the non-compete agreement law a month or so ago. Look online for further details. Finally!!!
It's non enforceable so tell them to kiss you behind with the non compete.
You can do an AskHR ticket and they'll send it to you.
