Anyone know about the fate of CB or other security products under BC?

It’s being sold off
Hoc will sell it to his best pal Sanjay Poonen at a discount since it was Poonen that wanted it
LOL Gartner and Forrester. If those papers were to be believed then VMware would be making money by the cargo ship load.
What was the last big win for CB? When has it every been featured prominently at any event?
CB has a great reputation in the industry and their solutions are way above Symantec’s. That doesn’t change the fact BC might find it redundant since they don’t care about security, though they acquired SYMC, but do not try to confuse people CB is a great product, and one of the best EPP and EDR solutions. Just read some reviews and check Gartner and Forrester
adding to previous post. The product axe will be relatively easy. The people axe will be more difficult because hopefully they take the cream of the crop from both companies and that would take time, vs cutting the entire CB sales organization. But guaranteed that more people will be cut from incoming orgs then existing Broadcom orgs
Carbon Black isn't ranked very high among it's peers in the industry. Plus, Broadcom already has some of the better components of the once dominant Symantec portfolio. There is significant overlap and there is nothing to be gained by offering 2 similar and competing tools. Furthermore there is no reason to double the security salesforce. Management is already working on that list and when the time is right, the axe will fall swiftly
Like all products under evaluation. IF it is not making money it is gone!
I don't have much hope in carbon black....
Carbon Black and Tanzu are both questionable.
What was Carbons Black big announcement at Explore?
I know, but I’m not telling.
By now you should have understood that no one knows until it happens.
