It's essential to acknowledge the current circumstances: if you haven't started exploring new employment opportunities, now is the time to do so. Prioritize your job search and work on getting your finances organized without delay. There are clear signs that Belk could be facing imminent store closures. With insufficient hours to support operations, maintaining open stores is becoming increasingly difficult for the company. Stay aware and get ready for any upcoming changes.

@1bf——. It’s no wonder not “know wonder”. Hopefully you can still work at ‘Belks’ and get a G.E.D. at the same time. It’s takes a lot of book learnin’
@1bf. Oh, Don….you crazy nut
@1am. Do you really think Don would be on this site. Duh. You're making yourself look smarter by the minute. Know wonder Belks going under.
@19t. hey Don!
@rr+1. If you think that was a shill then you are the pathetic one. Having a hard time figuring things out are we?
He would turn on you because he doesn't want to acknowledge the truth.
That can’t conceal it anymore, it’s too far gone.
It’s done. Unless you’re already way overpaid you should seriously consider jumping ship. If you are paid far more than you can get elsewhere, ride it out and take their cash as long as you can. No amount of individual effort can stop the inevitable.
@cx+1j—— shill comment disguised as an associate comment. Two sentences about the store manager turning on you in a heartbeat and ride it out or quit comment give it away. Pathetic.
@cx+1
So why would your manager turn on you in a heartbeat if you speak the truth about what is really going on? If he’s such a great guy, you think he would be realistic about what is happening….I don’t get it…
Isn't that the mentality that Belk fosters. Let's not acknowledge what is really going on so they can keep doing it. My store manager is a great guy who busts his but trying to keep things positive but one word about what is really going on and he will turn on you in a heartbeat. Our store is horrible. Actually to the point of embarrassment. 75% of the customers leave unhappy. The store is so dirty. We are literally staffed with 3 associates, one manager and one fulfilment person no matter how busy it is. In cosmetics we had one person scheduled at a time with presell ,beauty bash, racks of freight. racks of jewelry and customers from ladies and mens dept. Like they're saying, you would have to be in denial not to see it. Our only choice is to stay and ride it out or quit.
@b3+1jqz7cqhy this person doesn’t have to have a title, sounds like they have common sense and can actually see the light. And as an old time employee and been with belk long before Belk was bought out, you just know. Never seen stores looks so bad and have no hours to run the store. If that’s not an eye opener for you then your blind.
My store is a train wreck
I cant even describe how bad it’s gotten
And the new people they hire
Are horrendous! Bottom of the barrel!
Are you a store manager? Do you work in the corporate office? What makes you so sure?
Belk was the best at downtown small stores like Belk-Simpson and Belk Leggett. They have outlived the 80s and 90s and won't survive much longer as long term leases expire and Dillards is next.
When will be liquidate all stores ? Any time frame?
Please take belk off life support, pull the plug, belk wants to die a peaceful death
Some are still believing their store manager and regional who continue to lie to the associates.
I think every single employee at Belk knows this, unless they live under a rock. Belk is in serious trouble, everyone knows it.
