"checks will be rolling out to ensure that each employee spends a total of 40 hours per week in the office"
Where/How?
Starting next month, checks will be rolling out to ensure that each employee spends a total of 40 hours per week in the office. Those who do not spend 40 hours per week in office will be questioned by their manager and expected to justify (with proof) why.
Just an FYI and a lil' heads up for y'all. :-/

I haven't been in since last June and just ignored all the HR and management noise on RTO mandates. No one bothered me about it, so I didn't care. Now it looks like we have them really clamping down on it with people in my org getting laid off due to not showing up. Had I not been leaving anyways I was almost certainly on the chopping block at some point despite getting an Exceeds and a title promotion (no Band promotion obviously) and continuously being one of the highest performers in the org.
Pair that with a new on-call program that was never part of my original employment agreement (who wants to work all weekend for no extra money?), inevitable 5 day RTO, a new Orwellian badge system, sh---y We-Work style office arrangement in my new building, and next to zero raises. There is no reason to stay.
TL;DR if you have a modicum of talent get out now and reclaim some dignity
Depends on workload. If I’m going to go through the wasted hassle of commuting, then I’m going to be there for however long it takes to finish what I want/need to get finished. I do not go to socialize or “collaborate” contribute to the “synergies of team work” BS. I go, I work, I leave. Sometimes that’s 3 hours. Sometimes that’s 10 hours. Make NO mistake - I couldn’t care less what Bank of America thinks of me, you’re a dime a dozen. I ONLY care about what my clients think of me, and considering they all followed me from my previous employer to BoA (and from my previous previous employer to my previous employer), I’d say my way is the right way. They will follow me again soon to a new competitor of BoA for my area of expertise, and I am going to mop the floor with your regional office, put you back on the “life’s too short” shelf that you were on when you came calling for me years ago. I performed as I said I would, but you did not. Only one liar in this relationship….
0 hours, Green grass in NY
3-4 on average. Twice a month just swipe and leave.
Definitely HR…they’re all over this board. Middle finger up…really high. Yes, directly at you HR loser posting all over this board for your own fun…we see you and you’re not fooling anyone. The bank is not the bank anymore. It hasn’t been for years. Good luck people.
Nice try HR.
