Normal Christmas lay off coming? Thoughts? Do we know if they got the numbers they wanted with the VRP?

In reading this thread, we have been warned and told to please prepare.

Can you give an update on what we are being warned about and what we should do to prepare? We are nearing the end of September

September has come and gone and the only thing I have seen is the VRP. What happens when they don't get enough people to volunteer to get out?

@10fgk+1hUCIfij no need to rename…..emails began circulating. It’s still September on my calendar AND more to come.

@11yra+1hUCIfij no specific jobs, it is more about how long you have been with the company and age. Those who qualify will get the opportunity to take a package if they want. Once the company has that information, then they will make more cuts to certain people.

Which jobs were offered voluntary retirements?

For all those questioning this warning….the call for voluntary retirements has come. We all know that is step 1. You were warned.

should we rename the thread "October Lay offs coming" Or does "you have been warned" want to let us know the day they plan to announce something? It is the last week in Sept.

@Pksp+1hUCIfij It's coming, please prepare-I have been prepared for this since Jan 17 2020 when they told me my job was going to India. Can you please let me know how much longer they will drag this along? I think they didn't understand the amount of work payroll is and have yet to figure out if they can get rid of us payroll admins. If you have any actual knowledge of when they will announce something, can you give us more than "please prepare" I would like to let the recruiters I am working with know what my last day of work will be so I can collect my package and get a new job and double dip on the pay side of things

"It's coming, please prepare" Please stop getting my hopes up, I pray everyday that today is the day they put me out of my misery working for the clown show this company has become. Management should be so embarrassed and ashamed of how Frito has been destroyed.

With September right around the corner, does anyone have any insight?

the timing of September would make sense. Tell people they have to work until the end of the year to get their package. The way they are making changes to payroll and having managers send payroll info directly to GBS, stating vacations and sick time being automated in the future. They could let payroll go by the end of the year

@3jmy+1hUCIfij. At least the lazy unhappy people won't be completely caught off guard by layoffs because of the commo on this site. You must be an HR rep or mgr...shame on you for trolling our our camp. That is M.O. of Pepsi when it comes to layoffs: culling of the innocent herd when they aren't expecting it. Go in silently for the k*ll without warning. M.O. = Modus operandi....in case you needed to know that for your report.
