Being an Intel Principal Engineer is probably the worst investment
Hated by others, always taking shortcuts, backstabbing people, good at power point and kissing management a--, no mentoring skills. Now in your 40s or 50s, who is going to hire you when Intel HR shows you the backdoor? Who?
Has anyone left another high tech company for Intel and regretted it?
I've been working at HP (now HPE) for a while. A bunch of people in my office got WFR in the last round of layoffs. I have an offer on the table at Intel. After reading this message board, I don't know if it's worth moving to this company? Anyone on... — read more

What's grade 7 salary in Portland ?
I am earnings 132k as base . I will mostly get out perform this year. I joined in grade 6 with 108k. Is 132k above average salary. I am trying to negotiate 8 to 10% hike.
Intel earnings are fcked as is just because of the strong US dollar.
Considering a bulk of revenue is from overseas, with a weaker foreign currency to USD exchange rate, that quarterly never is going to look like sh-- from the exchange rate itself. Forget about lower selling margins or lower volume.

Question about Intel's Open Door investigation process
Dear Intel colleagues, could you please share with me any insights and experiences about the ODI process? What should I expect? Is it fair and objective? What are the things I should be aware of? any do's and don'ts. Thank you kindly.
Well, since Intel no longer has a process lead anymore, it needs to compete on cost...So clearly the solution is....
BK and Murthy needs to move all x86 fab work to Mexico... Don't worry, just the threat of that, I'm sure Trump will call and give Intel a sweetheart tax deal negotiated with Oregon.
Remember the time when people thought, aside from x86, Intel could be like.....
TSM and and Samsung, to sell services that leverage its fab lead to other fabless chip companies...... Fast forward to 2016... What fab lead????? Party on 14nm like it's 2013!!!!
An upbeat thread fantasy😂
