ME
I’m currently interviewing for Intel as a MEng , any advices .
Is it actually coming?
All this talk of layoffs, delays, down sizing etc, but has anybody actually heard anything concrete about a similar layoff as 2015 / 16 or any pending job cuts? Its all just speculation at the minute??
Dominating managers
Some managers only know how to force their will on their employees. If you look different even more so. They probably never heard of a thing called collaboration.
Contract employees and normal employees
Anyone know what’s up? The whole “contract employee vs. normal employee” conversation. Overhiring? Understaffing? Contract employees joining normal employee’s groups to take their jobs?
Losing its competitive edge
I spent the weekend applying for jobs. Maybe it's time for Intel to make a little effort if it wants to stay somewhat competitive in the market, right?
Zen4 coming in September. Intel is fcked!!!

With INTC stock, every day is a new 5-year low!!!
Thousands of layoffs coming baby! Or maybe PG getting kicked to the curb?
People waiting to be laid off
Trusting that your severance pay will be enough until you find something new is not a very wise idea. Why put yourself in such a situation at all? It's much easier to find a job while you still have a job, but it's obvious that many haven't had... — read more
The purge is coming
After surviving several layoff rounds, here are my rules for the purge: Create weak links in the team by badmouthing colleagues every opportunity you get Send more emails to show your productivity Send status updates whenever a tiny thing... — read more
Another delay is coming, why are we not surprised?
Pat Gelsinger “ Intel 3, Intel 18a, these are yet to be, I’ll say designable products and we have test chips underway, but we’re not yet to the point that the PDKs or the design libraries would be adequate for people to make design commitments quite... — read more
How much longer until activist investors get on the board?
Will depend on the stock price. If it goes below $30, there will be enormous pressure on the board to fire Pat. Pat will have no one to blame but himself. Under his tenure, the stock has dropped over 40% already. His strategy is foolhardy.
Q2 results are mostly in and how did Intel do?
As the big bo-m ends and the famine starts, where is Intel as we enter the desert, DEAD LAST, lay-offs are all but assured... — read more
Intel is now a small fish

Going the extra mile doesn't bring rewards
I have seen many people who did not deserve to be promoted, but they still got a promotion. However, when the person I know is the biggest slacker of all got a promotion, I decided to give up. What is interesting is that although almost everyone... — read more
INTC at 5 year low
Do you think that's the bottom?
How likely are contract employees to be laid off?
ICE employee (lab tech-nonexempt) working in R&D. How likely are they to be laid off in the upcoming layoffs? I hear a lot about BBs being laid off, older employees, and managers, but what about young ICE level lab techs?
FUBAR when you can’t finance your own wet dreams

Fire the GM
If you fail to make the business profitable and cause site closures, you should be laid off period. These failure promoting racists should have gotten the boot many years ago. Yet these incompetents maintain a culture of constant layoffs. Bbce — read more

Intel needs a better strategy
I am not competent to talk about what the strategy should have been, but I can say with certainty that this current strategy is not working. The question is when the leadership will finally realize that this strategy is not effective and if it will... — read more
Intel Hiring Flo Rida for their AI conference party in 2017 was prescient

Lots of useless managers
Intel is full of useless managers. I would like to see the company cut most of them. However, I am convinced that this will not happen for a long time. I don't know how some of them generally justify their work here? It seems that some of them... — read more
Biggest mistakes
Intel could do much better if only it had better leadership. I'm just stating my opinion. Purely out of curiosity, what do you think are the biggest mistakes of this leadership?
Manufacturing future at Intel is futile, layoffs are a certainty
@1eng+1igqSZym Got to right All of this talk about layoff this or that and fire Middle management. It doesn’t matter. None of it does. Intel’s business model is broken from the simple fact that processor revenue cannot sustain leading edge fabs... — read more

Suggestion: 5000 managers and VPs
Layoff 5000 managers and VPs and flatten org. Do this proactively before it is too late and you are forced to do it
Being laid off close to retirement
Is Intel known for laying people off close to retirement? I know IBM is known for this but somebody told me recently that Intel's been doing the same thing, just not at the same scale. I'm nowhere near retirement, I'm just curious if this is... — read more
Any new rumors about cuts?
I'm just checking to see if anyone has heard anything about cuts. Our manager has been a bit more nervous than usual lately and the atmosphere is tense.
any idea
All senior people and RCGs come to me asking for help. I am not getting a promotion or grade level I desire. what should I do?
Larribee, ARC... history repeats itself!
The Board should get the AXE. Years and years of failed leadership, and the buck stops with them!
Is Pat delusional?
AMD in the rear view mirror… https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pucOm5StP3s&feature=youtu.be This guy is leading Intel? Really?

intel culture
Fake it until you make it. Double you salary by hiring your wife, discourage hard workers who actually contribute as they might compete against you. Powerpoint > deliverables. Hang on until the project is canceled and rinse and repeat.
