How is Pat working for you all?

Stock is way down! Revenue and profits are way down. Is the messiah going to turn water into wine. All the governments money can’t fix a broken culture, incompetent engineers and managers and lastly a flawed strategy. We all know what the assured... — read more

Just a little more until the financial results

I'm not expecting anything good because I am not satisfied with what the company has done to address its existing issues. Any predictions on what the quarterly results might look like?

Samsung also warned. RIP Intel

https://www.reuters.com/technology/samsung-elec-q3-profit-likely-fell-32-demand-slumped-downturn-2022-10-06/ Layoffs are coming. It’s going to be a long tech winter.

Intel shocked for Q2, what will Q3 bring

Will it be shock and awe! I am surprised Intel can’t be transparent and honest like AMD, but again with Pat why is that a surprise, says it all doesn’t it!

AMD pre announce revenue shortfall

AMD announced revenue shortfall today but egoistic Pat can't announce revenue shortfall and like to surprise market on earnings day. Last quarter revenue shortfall was huge compared to guidance but still didn't bother to announce it. I am sure intel... — read more

Problem with quiet quitting

Quiet quitting will not help you maintain skills, which is essentially the most important thing. Pretending to work for a long time actually harms us more than it harms the company. Some of my colleagues are surprised that I still put in so much... — read more

Intel SG&A Spending Cuts

Got confirmation that the CFO Dave Z is instructing for 25% budget cuts across all SG&A spends, so there will be cuts to headcount. Any other orgs getting cuts?

What disappointed you the most?

Intel is nowhere near the company I thought it was when I applied for the job here. For me, this company is a disappointment in every sense of the word.

VSP?

Rumors of VSP. Anyone know anything ?

Immigration

How is intel providing immigration for roles like project manager / product owner, SW development, etc. I thought it had to be a skill lacking in the United States? Why has this not been reported to Immigration and Customs?

The Big One

Anybody else notice that all the executives seem to have disappeared into their holes? Intel hired 30,000 people and then everyone disappears. How long before they fire 30,000 people? My guess is right after the quiet period.

Why did you decide on quiet quitting?

I can't even remember what exactly was my breaking point when I decided on quiet quitting, but it's clear that my manager is not thrilled now.

Inflation adjust

Here some people said Intel working on RSU and inflation adjust in October. So far not any update. Is it real or fake news?

Tesla event vs Intel Innovation

Tesla wasted zero minutes on random discussions and random technology announcements and jumped right into the meat of the technology. Tesla presentation on Dojo chip and system was miles better than any chip presentation from intel. Intel... — read more

Is there a way to reduce favoritism and nepotism?

Nepotism and favoritism are more prominent here today than they have ever been. I am watching how these two things are rapidly destroying a company that used to be a very different work environment. But how to put an end to it? I wonder if there is... — read more

Quiet quitting

Intel is failing because all new hires are quiet quitting. Do you know anybody under 30 who's giving it their all at work? I certainly don't. They never work a minute longer than their official hours and heavens forbid they work on a weekend when... — read more

Intel is failing

I remember when we used to hire people just on their qualifications, without considering s-x or race. Now new hires and promotions are now based on s-x and race. I know so many senior grades now that don't even know what ohm's law is. Intel is... — read more

***A$$HO-E INTEL MANAGERS***

So, do managers go to a$$ho-e school? Except for my last two managers, they have always been pr!cks. I figure that there must be some common training that they all go through. I have brought legitimate quality issues to management, but they are pros... — read more

This is no longer a place that can attract the best

That is more than obvious. The question is, does Intel even still want to be that company which once tried to attract only the best and most talented people with a lots of ideas, graduates of top notch schools?
