Topics regarding layoffs at Intel Corp.

I've seen this before.

I'm an old fa-t, and I have seen how this has progressed at many other companies - Intel's days are numbered. When you hear "Focus on core products" it is time to go. Intel will continue shutting down and selling off businesses so they can focus... — read more

Intel rank and file- its time to UNIONIZE

The only way to retain your wages and restore meritocracy is to unionize. ELT is beholden to Wall Street and not the workers who make Intel what it is. Unionizing scares the hex out of upper management and that's the only way to get your messages... — read more

Volunteers for CPM again?

Hopefully Intel offers voluntary CPM again so people have the opportunity to leave with fat pockets. Then again they will all just come back again in a few years for more pay and Intel will repeat the same mistakes again. Over 10 years Intels had... — read more

Stock holders or employees?

Stock holders and those who get more from stock compensation than rank and file is the priority! The CEO and ELT do have a duty to the owners of the company long term. But seriously protect the dividend short term versus reward the hard working... — read more

Loot n Scoot ?

Here's my 2$ conspiracy theory: ELT has large part of compensation in stocks than base pay. Even if they reduce their base pay % the dividends are still not reducing or stopping. Workers will toil and pay for ELT fat salary with no bonuses for... — read more

PG's TComp in 2021 was $178 millions

That's 1700 times of Intel median pay BTW. His base pay was $1.1 million, less than 1% of the TComp. 25% of that is 0.25% of TComp. If someone at Intel median pay got 0.25% pay cut, it'll be like $50 a week. Don't worry about your dear leader. He's... — read more

Why are you deleting positive comments?

This site was started and is very likely run by a disgruntled employee. Someone posted support for Pat and it was deleted. It's sad that the site caters to negativity about the company. It could be so much more.

Lack of leadership

A peanut butter paycut spread across the higher grades, instead of making tough decisions: closing factories, ki-ling vanity projects, sales offices, etc… every CEO since Andy has been gutless to make the tough calls. It worked for Craig and Paul... — read more

Folks hired in last 2 years

If you would know what we paid at each grade level to hire folks from outside, you would go crazy. Every new hire was hired 1-2 grade levels above with insane salaries. Way above 95%. Insane stock and bonus benefits. The market was hot, but... — read more

A quick analysis of Messiah amd ELT

We want to apologize to as we were wrong. This action shows Pat Gelsinger is very similar to the prior Intel CEO who was a career Chief Financial Officer at multiple publicly traded companies. It’s a disgrace that Intel has decided to cut fab... — read more

The push

The writing been on the wall for some time now, but most tend to stick around for wait and see and need that extra push. I think what Intel is doing now is pushing employees to leave on their own as they can't pay 40K employees severance packages. — read more

LolZ

Intel cuts pay for employees by at least 5%. VPs 10% cut, more senior executives will get 15% cut and CEO gets a 25% haircut.

You have heard about ideas like rent control, higher minimum wage to put a floor on downside pay, now pay cut to put a cap on upside, between the two end points Intel can bound the wage gap. Someone forgot to tell Intel the wage gap to fix was... — read more

Dividends

I think there is a lot said about dividends. On why we are paying dividends to investors and cutting employee pay. IMO, not cutting dividend is the right move. No investor wants to hang around 2-3 years for Intel to turn around. The only thing... — read more

I take it the all-hands didn't go so well today?

Not to rub salt in a wound but based on the most recent comments posted today, it sounds like topic of the all-hands meeting was that the companies not doing so well and everyone must take a pay cut?

I learnt something today

Afterall, base pay is not the floor. I have never gone through this experience and always equated base pay almost as min wage. Nothing will happen to base pay. Bonuses might go away, but base pay is the floor. Not really.

Yes, Paycuts suck. I'm in disbelief. Been here a long time. Stock is where it was in 1998 and so we are drained of liquidity there and then bonus gone and base pay cut. What ? Even the amount of paycuts. Why is CEO taking only 25% paycut ? I... — read more
