There is no other way to say this: Aflac's culture is a facade and nothing more than an award-bought punchline. The only people held accountable for the "Aflac Way" bullsh*t are the PS and lower employees. Managers, Sr Managers, and with exclamation, the Director/VP level folks are too stuck in their own egos to follow through with these "commitments." Across the board, the leadership culture is one of bullying, belittling, and politically driven agenda to elevate only their own. Problematic leadership will simply be reorged, or slapped on the wrist. If you go to HR, please know that they are their to protect their friends, and will spill the beans on your grievances to your leadership in a heartbeat. You have zero rights, and will be "at willed" to protect the inner sanctum of the bullies. #aflaclayoffs #culturedcancer

If you want to get ahead at #aflac, be a cronies and a s--- up. They become Resource Managers with benefits. #culturedcancer starts with Leaders.
Speak up!
So many of us are come to work everyday and take the abuse...never saying a word. Those greedy execs count on our silence. And so far it has worked in their favor. They hold all the cards, while the rest of us fear for our livelihood. So, I guess to some extent that makes those of us who don't say anything bear some of the responsibility.
No more.
Aflac has been lying for years about #aflaclayoffs and the real way they treat their employees. The so called leaders aren't leaders at all. They are unethical followers, carrying out the deceitful wishes of the Amos's.
If you are reading these posts, like me, it's time to speak up. The rich shouldn't keep getting richer while we all have our jobs threatened by #aflaclayoffs.
I hate coming to work #aflac #aflaclies #aflaclayoffs
It's sad to say, but coming to #aflac everyday is stressful and unpleasant. The recent #aflaclayoffs and those that are coming puts all of us in a constant state of anxiety...just waiting for the hammer to drop on us. The leadership is so deceitful and none of them have any sense of honesty or integrity. So many people are still in denial and defend the company...but that doesn't change the truth. The smoke and mirrors routine is beginning to fade, and more and more people are seeing the truth. I've got decades of tenure, and it took me a long time to recognize how things really are around here. But it is painfully clear now...#aflac does not care about its employees. The Amos's only care about themselves and their fat bank accounts.
It's definitely harder to get a job when you've been laid off. I know I won't have any leverage to negotiate for a good position or a decent salary if I have no income going into a job interview. As much as I hate it, I know it's time to dust off my resume and start looking for another job before I become a victim of the #aflaclayoffs. It's truly sad for all of us who have dedicated so many years to making all the Amos's and their cronies incredibly rich that we have, in the end, become so invaluable that we will be discarded like trash...only for them to get a bigger piece of the pie.
Get out before they force us out - expose the #culturedcancer
In light of the new NDA and resulting impending #aflaclayoffs this deserves a repost: (thanks to Post ID: @OGroAK6 for the original post)
Displaced = Layoff
The definition of layoff is the act of dismissing employees. A displacement happens when a job is eliminated and the company AUTOMATICALLY places the employee in a job with a similar level of responsibility and pay. Aflac has eliminated jobs and outsourced jobs multiple times over the last 15 years. Each time, employees were "dismissed" from their jobs. Yes, they were effectively laid off. Those LAID OFF employees had the "privilege" of applying for openings within the company for 30 days after the lay off. They had to jump through the same hoops as any other applicant. MANY of the jobs available for the laid off employee are many levels below their eliminated job...and there is no guarantee that the laid off employee will receive any preferential treatment. When your job is eliminated and you are forced to look for another job (whether it is internal or external), YOU HAVE BEEN LAID OFF.
Remember the BancTec outsourcing project? More than 160 people were LAID OFF. Those jobs were completely eliminated. BancTec hired some of those laid off employees (at a loss of pay and benefits), others were able to find jobs within the company (although at a much lower level), and others weren't as fortunate.
Compliance LAID OFF at least 20 people a few years ago. Those employees were called to a conference room and told that their jobs had either been eliminated or consolidated with other positions. They weren't even allowed to return to their desks to gather their personal belongings. They had to turn in their ID badges and were escorted out of the building. They were allowed to keep limited system access so they could apply for jobs for 30 days. They were effectively treated as external applicants. THAT IS NOT A DISPLACEMENT.
Risk Management had "displacements" (#aflaclayoffs)
Quality had "displacements" (#aflaclayoffs)
Claims had "displacements" (#aflaclayoffs)
There are so many other similar situations. Yet, Aflac continues to promote the lie that they've never laid people off. And those who aren't impacted continue to turn a blind eye and defend the company...because they have remained safe and naively believe they will never be impacted. The company promotes a cult-like culture and if you don't align with the "idol worship behavior" you are labeled as a troublemaker. There is no real, legitimate culture of diversity and inclusivity. All of the people who "drank the kool aid" are of like-minded thinking. Different perspectives are not appreciated or tolerated.
The only good news is...the economy is booming. Take back control of your individual thinking and value. Actively seek out a company that truly is appreciative of your talents. Get out before they force you out.
This is Truth.
#aflaclayoffs in all core operations is coming. Ask your executive leadership directly. Push for a real answer. You will quickly witness just how dishonest and corrupt these execs really are.
The #culturedcancer #aflaccancer has gotten worse and worse over the last few years. The #aflaclayoffs have been happening for years, and have been covered up by the execs and HR. And you are 100% correct about the #aflacbullies in HR and the entire executive leadership team. I hope everyone will feel empowered to speak up.
