Cobra Cost

If anyone has recently taken cobra from ford, how much did it cost for 2 (employee + spouse).

New Normal

I was told by my LL6's in my quarterly check-in this past week that cuts are going to be the norm for the next 2 years. Hard to press the "work tirelessly" message with that kind of message. Personally I'm tired of working so hard just to create... — read more

How do raises / promotions work?

Firstly, I know an overwhelming majority of people here are going to tell me to get out now, which I can appreciate due to the layoff announcement. But I am fresh out of college, poor, have no family or connections. Given the oversaturation of my... — read more

The invol's vs voluntary packages of 2019.

So I was able to find what was offered for voluntary packages in 2019 but couldn't find anything about the voluntary packages(?). Does anybody know what they received? Here is hoping for voluntaries being offered and I wanted to post this thread as a... — read more

SDR Future

Has anyone heard what will happen to SDR employees? Will they roll into the Regions or just mass let go? Lots of worry there for sure.

Benefits

For those unfortunate folks who are about to get go, Here is a little advice (I took the retirement package last fall). I took the lump sum and it didnt work out great because the market tanked. It was the smart move at the time, but given the... — read more

Aug16 then 2 weeks paid then done

Volunteers could probably help with the transfer of knowledge. Involuntaries need to be walked out for fear of retaliation. It’s not very efficient to interview every potential retirement prospect. A blanket offer would help immensely. I did... — read more

Lump Sum Rumors

Has anyone heard about cutting the lump sum payment for people with ver 30 years? Is there any documentation stating that the details?

Nothing is happening tomorrow

I'm not sure where the August 12 rumor originated, but it's not happening. We've never had layoffs on a Friday. In general, layoffs don't happen on a Monday either (for the most part). When it's time, expect to see it take place in the middle of the... — read more

August 16th LL6 ,5 ,4 private meeting on Callender

I have been hearing 8/17 will have another round. There is a 2 hour meeting scheduled the day before between chief managers and supervisors. Could be coincidence. Anyone see a managment meeting in their dept on the 16?

Leaving for a competitor?

So I am starting with GM on Monday. Tomorrow I will let Ford know….should I say this is my last day or give a 2 week notice so I can get paid for 2 more weeks? I assume they will walk me out regardless when I say I’m starting??

Do the right thing Ford

There IS still time for a voluntary. The 2021 VSSP was offered in July 2021. The deadline to accept was September 2nd and the last day worked was October 31. If they do a voluntary in 2022: It can be offered in mid-August, deadline to accept can be... — read more

VPSE Org Chart

Employees who are safer

Everyone should be prepared. However, are there those who are perhaps more immune to layoffs than the majority of us?

Thread about how people were let go?

Curious if anyone has heard how people have recently been let go or what the rumored game plan is (any packages, deadline meaning given a month etc, or are people simply being asked to leave at the point they are told)? I do appreciate it in advance... — read more

Returning company's property

I hope that this will not happen, but I am slowly preparing myself for the traumatic experience of losing my job. I am interested in whether Ford gives a reasonable amount of time to the laid off employee to return the company property back?

Tier 2

My company was contacted recruiting backfills for after the layoff
