Sick of being sick

I’m so over going into the office and going home sick every week. I’m starting to really have very negative feelings towards my coworkers who are causing me to be sick every WFH week.

Is this quoted comment truthful?

I just read a comment under a post that says: "You should send that email up the chain. You think they’d want to avoid getting sued. Maybe throw in examples if people dying in storms like the girl up north who was coming home from Fidelity and a... — read more

Nagging

Other than nagging, there aren’t consequence for anything. Company culture suffered because no one has to act like a professional. I wish management did something other than put names on a made up list.

New RTO Policy

What is it? Seems like there was a change in January. I'm considering Fidelity as an employer.

Am I misremembering life before Covid?

My memory of work before the pandemic was people trying to work together to benefit the company and clients. Now everyone down to phone reps are deep in politics bs. I’m not living in rainbows and butterflies land, but it seemed like people didn’t... — read more

Attn Social Media Team

How about helping solve the problems outlined on this site? Why does your team have so much time to just sit and downvote posts? Sounds like a dream job, no responsibility, just worried about likes.

Term Dates

Layoff, term for cause, etc… when will it start? I don’t care what makeup management puts on the downsizing… but when will it start? 1-2 months? Sooner? Layer? Anyone have any real feedback?

RTO suggestion

With the rigid RTO policy people are coming into the office. I don’t have kids in daycare, but I take home whatever’s going around. My coworkers have sick kids that make them sick and they make the team sick. Social Media Team - please pass... — read more

Bad press

Hopefully the recent bad press encourages management to look more closely into the top preforms. It’s really obvious to see that top preforms cherry pick or use other methods to stack the deck in their favor. Some make headlines, while most just get... — read more

Layoff rumor

I don’t really buy the rumor going around about layoffs or termination due to not swiping in. My manager misses at least one day a connect week, schedules most vacations during in office weeks or comes in after lunch. That with it being hard to track... — read more

Layoff would make sense

Maybe there will be layoffs, maybe not. But the company culture is so low, increased water cooler talk about serious HR complaints. There are people who are consistent in underperforming, people cheat the metrics and management is too inexperienced... — read more

Avoid Medicare Services

Medicare is strutted around as a “new” area for Fidelity and therefore “exciting.” I would avoid it. Leadership is disconnected Lack of resources/upward growth Product team is in chaos. UX and BA chapters as well Incompetent managers (classic... — read more

Help Your colleagues

Let’s start with this: The people who refuse to support a union or dismiss this effort as unnecessary are either acting in bad faith or don’t fully understand the leverage we have as workers. CRAs, ISRs, WPAs, and 401(k) associates, ECS, etc—you... — read more

Fidelity VBO in 2025?

I had been told no VBO in 2025 last fall but someone told me that a seasoned HR person hinted there is one this year. I certainly would have expected it to show up on here by now. Heard anything?

Pathetic Brain Washed Sheep

I left Fidelity 2 years ago and I come back here from time to time to read the messages. This company is comically bad compared to what it was 15 years ago. The world is so much bigger than this $hit company. If you’re unhappy, I highly suggest... — read more

Stop worrying about layoffs

Layoffs are just part of a business cycle. Don’t waste today worrying about a layoff. From the layoffs I’ve witnessed, at the firm, managers seem to give it away. Pay attention to how coaching go and do work you are proud of.

Helping my acquaintances

For the first time, when people tell me they’re applying to Fidelity, I tell them to reconsider. Now is not the time to join.

DEI thoughts

I have been reading comments on here where people assume that when others are talking about DEI, they are referring to race. Fidelity has set up a culture where being a cookie cutter employee is accepted, but won’t help. I have seen people who are... — read more
