Question about last year's layoff

That really big layoff we had last year... does anyone know WHEN management received official word that a layoff was going to happen? Does anyone know when the signs started to show that the specific layoff was imminent? Thanks, have a good weekend everybody.

The most accurate sign a layoff is imminent is people putting objects in a box while either laughing or crying hysterically.

Last year they did include managers who caused problems.

What big layoff? The one with 700 people for a company that had appx 90k employees? That’s not big

I am a people manager. I heard from multiple other people managers that they did not hear until the day before, that they had to let someone go. I did not have to lay anyone off, and I didn’t know anything until it was going on.
