Exon is looking at purchasing Anadarko. Anadarko is down to just one third of it's value less than a year ago so appears to be a great bargain. Will Exon keep Anadarko employees on or lay them off?

Do you have info on any layoffs in Sugar Land? I hear some rumors but I am not sure if it's true that they are planning 30% layoffs in Sugar Land?

There was so much hype about Exxon at woodlands. Prices of homes skyrocketed and Houston, Sugar land homes appreciated a lot. Now people are worried about oil prices, job loss and mortgages. Is it time to sell home and be safe?

For the poster below who referenced 2014, I can say that 2015 will be MUCH worse - if the prices continue to drop ALL oil companies will react by cutting staff, that's a given, so wait until 2015 as layoffs and RIFs always lag the price drops.

We do this every year, now with profits down we'll be even more agile in this area - we'll probably cut around 5000 people in 2014. Houston and Waco always get hit.
