Asset vs Business units
Bit of a noob here, so hoping someone can explain how it would be different for us if we move from a BU structure to an asset structure. Aren’t the BUs functionally based on assets? What am I missing?
Any ideas?
How can we make sure everyone at chevron reads these posts?. They are great and help regular cvx employees understand the root cause of our problems, that it has to do with the elt and not with how hard we work.
I'm numb
This has dragged on for so long that Idgaf anymore about what's coming. Getting laid off? Cool, I’ll deal. Staying? That's fine. I’ve been so stressed about it that I’ve done a full 180 and ended up not feeling anything. Not sure if that’s better... — read more
The only reasonable plan is to be prepared, and not be anxious
I stopped investing myself in Chevron. I’m looking at it like just another job with a short expiry date. I’m not doing any extra hours if I can help it (and I often can), I’m not trying to be constructive and helpful, nor I’m signaling that I’m... — read more

Succession Planning
Not a good look that MW and his ELT are ineffective at succession planning. The number of external hires that are being made to assume executive positions is a) morale destroying for those within the company who have aspirations of highest levels of... — read more

I can't think of any reason for the RTO other than attrition
There have already been studies conducted on RTO policies in other companies, and they all reach the same conclusion: RTO reduces productivity and morale, creates widespread frustration, and, most importantly, leads to the loss of talent. The most... — read more

When we together (in person) amazing things happen
A core message of the upcoming SETH is that: We all need to return to the office, because when we are together "amazing things happen". Please let's not bring up how this directly contracts us offshoring 20-30% of our people to India for cost... — read more

Hearing some rumors about 3/3/3 offering for EOI? But no real explanation what that means, not a date though.
Looking forward to next week
I know I'm not the only one. Let's get it done and move on.

If you're over a certain age, you're not safe
