Why are we wasting $$$$ in Nascar??

We can't afford to hire help or fix anything, but once again we are p***ing away money in a sport with declining attendance and TV viewership. I just don't get it.

Does anyone have any insight to the 3 conference calls held this past Friday? I have heard everything from Florida store managers being laid off to multiple stores being ran by one store manager.

They let our Tracker, Customer Service, and apparel department managers go, plus several associates. It's not streamlining, it's out right greed

Get used to it folks, they do this often, this is thier management style. This happens every three to four years. As they continue to open too many stores, they will vampire all the others. Streaming a cute lie. It will cost them customers though... — read more

Every store lost 6-12 employees, mostly management. Do the math, roughly 80 stores, plus 60 cut at corporate. 700-800 KEY employees cut.

The news articles are trying to downplay this by starting off saying "fewer than 60 employees were laid off at BPS corporate" and then hiding the much larger part about an "average of six at retail stores" near the bottom. Eight or 9 would be a more... — read more 

Bass Pro Shops Gurnee store 3

They let go of operations employees just a little bit ago. Now yesterday the management was let go hunting fishing maintenance front end and footwear. So the have now just a handful of managing the whole store.
