expect another 20%+ cuts in headcount for BH in the next year.

Any ideas if the R & D side is going to survive till the end? it seems to me that should have been one of the first cuts.

And there is nothing that we can do about it. Going down.

1) GE Oil and Gas buying out Baker Hughes completions. 2) Weatherford buying out PP. 3) Halli is selling bits, mwd/lwd/dd BUT they're keeping their personnel to run Baker's tools. So don't get so happy ds. You're not staying. Confirm - Yes/ No

Hearing news that assimilation is in full swing............HR having meetings this week................. Major cuts to come by next week.

This was at CTI late last year complete with a dunking booth, games, prizes, and bbq. My how things have changed! So amazing!

As an ex-HR who was also laid off, we do not wake up with the hopes of truncating careers. We have to muster all the courage to go along with directives. Trust us, we are also human and we know that our jobs are in jeopardy.

Why is Halliburton giving all the news breaks. Can't baker management say anything about what's going on??? All we hear on the damned red blue bs is don't be alarmed. Keep working likes asses.

halliburton has announced that they're selling drilling. But what about production chemicals? I know that halli bought multi chem. which is our arch nemesis in the chemical game. Does anyone know if it will be divested or kept?
