Maybe you've 'heard' something? Seems strange it's not on 'the list' of closings, yet Sears in Bay City is closing, the Kmart in Saginaw that was having the roof repaired for over a year probably won't reopen ( SHC rep said the landlord needs to finish repairs when asked if Saginaw store was closing..no yes/no/maybe answer). Seems really unfair for employees that SHC is keeping quiet on closings.

I think KMART will have major issues this year, they might be closing very soon, the time is over and the management lost any hope. People just do not care and that is the worst position and you never want to be in it.
Just wondering as lots of big box stores in the area and surrounding areas are closing...including Sears, and the response from SHC rep about the Saginaw Kmart, or lack of response. And the fact that every Kmart/Sears seems to be closing, and when someone inquires about any Kmart/Sears closing on the website/Facebook they're told to ask the store manager. A recent news story (December) said SHC is closing more stores but are keeping 'mum' and not releasing a list. Why the secrecy? Seems like the company wants to go online only, as the reps online say to think of Kmart.com as another store. And, obviously if you close all the stores in the surrounding areas, the one left will do better, as some of the 'loyal' customers will shop at the only available location..it may boost that stores numbers, but the company is still millions in debt. I don't see the few stores left making up that debt.
I know that store, I always thought it was doing VERY well - what makes you think it may close?
