This is for Socle folks only (I know the rest of you don't care). More big drama today among our highly esteemed leaders, with all of the frosting - tears, threats, begging. We're going to see some long overdue changes VERY soon. Unfortunately, not the ones that we need the most (KD, DS, MH, TP). Oh well, tomorrow's another day.

395 - you really think DS wanted to keep SLS? He just strikes me to be more about the boys club. Plus, there is many a times he just went off on her, especially in the early days. I figure if he really wanted her to stay he could have. Look at the crap he did for CB, what a waste there.

314 and 327: Think about it. KD is in charge and the supervisor of both DS and BC. Why do you not dislike her? Only because you haven't interacted with her much - her style is to keep out of sight and let her hand chosen tools do her dirty work. When all of those HR complaints were filed against DS, do you honestly imagine she was not informed of them? Do you think she's deaf and never hears his temper tantrums? She does, and she likes them. She thinks they're sexy because she's a pathetic, ridiculous excuse for a woman. Do you think she wanted SLS to stay? DS did, since SLS did all the work in his department. KD couldn't stand her (she has real issues with other females, in case you haven't been keeping tabs). KD most certainly IS the problem.
Yep, what 314 said. Those two are just the worst. Management lost all remaining morale and real people skills when sls left; they were stupid to let her go. I doubt that she misses dealing with those idiots.

I work at CSC and I work on the Socle project indirectly with KD. I am totally neutral, but I don't see her as such a bad person. My experience with her has been pleasant and she seems to have the companies best interest at heart. Is she really that bad? Maybe I have not had a chance to see it yet, but I'm just shocked at all the negative press she is getting.

Socle sux hard ass. I don't even care if it means I lose my job, I'm telling ECMC what's been going on here, HR and ED wise. They can keep it going until it blows up in their faces or put it out of its misery. Their choice, but I will have done my moral duty.

57240 - I work at Socle and was previously FS at a Florida campus. I agree with 57233, and his/her sentiments are the same as I hear from my friends back at the campus and at EUO. Socle is despised throughout the company. I'm busting my ass looking for something new, since I wasn't on the ball and started looking late. All ECMC execs are going to hear from the campuses is what a disaster Socle has been. They're going to look at the top-heavy org structure and the money they're paying to keep KD's and DS's buddies in high-paying low-work jobs, and the result is obvious. Bye bye Socle.
update: major DS temper tantrum. of course that's nothing new, but apparently he's in a particularly foul way today.
233, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about and no first hand knowledge about Socle. It would have been best that you didn't chime in.
My guess (no inside info) is that Socle is going to be history. I've never heard anything good about them from the campuses. I've even heard that they are worse than Global FAS used to be in some areas (and that's pretty bad). It just makes sense to have financial aid advisers at the campus level counseling, collecting documentation from, and packaging the students. It's better service and I'm guessing a lot less stressful for everyone involved. The only reasons Socle became its own "company" is: (1) protect the company from their shady, push-it-through-no-matter-what financial aid practices, and (2) to try to hoodwink other colleges into paying them for substandard call center services.
I don't see why ECMC would need socle leadership - this I'd their wheelhouse no need to bring useless, expensive administrators into this division.
As long as they get rid of KD and DS, we should be fine. It's those two who protect the other idiots. Without them, ECMC will soon figure out who the dead weight is (maybe along with some anonymous help from me).
