New York state is raising minimum wage to $8.75 per hour. We were told to expect ink cartridge price increases to offset the wage increase. Hoping this is not the last straw for sub $4mil stores.

The state of Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations is raising min wage to $9 from $8. There is only one Max store left. It was way over sales budget for 2014. But was not great on the profit side. It will be interesting to see if Staples pulls out of RI.
They probably already factored the min wage increase into the equation when they decided what stores to close. But then again, the VPs are to busy playing golf and using the fitness center, so the review was probably done by interns,
Iirc we just had a ton of ink price changes (increases) in early December.
Practically every sku had to be changed.
