Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

The final turn is upon us...

I agree 2015 is going to be a fresh start and all of our emotions can be put away. I do have one question to ask, and I hope to get a truthful answer. Everyone says that we ripped off the minority students and that we prayed on the uneducated... What about the thousands of individuals that did receive degree's and new careers and improved lives. I can attest to numerous Campus Assisted positions obtained by CS Reps. for there cohort/graduates these are individuals that DID have a positive outcome. So now we move forward with the not so lucky, we have done our due diligence which is all that can be accepted. However we keep keeping on ad GIS/MOCK/OJO them to death and represent them the best we all know how to. We at the COLS campus will do what we can until they put locks on the doors. Our students are our students (CCi) and until then we will strive for excellence and you hear it on the floor (and not just when a VIP is on the floor). Always helping and assisting, rather it be on LIVEVOX or Population call outs. Tampa you have big shoes to fill. I wish you all a prosperous 2015 Let's Be Positive!

Bonez must have never struck an "o" key right beside the "I" key with his feminine little fingers. Never mind your piss-poor construction of a sentence. Also, I'm not from Tampa and I hate the Bucs, but that was a brilliant jab from a douchebag. Tampa operated at over a 900 headcount and you morons called our facility constantly with no clue how to handle students. You do have one thing going in the right direction, smoke another one while you can afford to do so.

Some of us do/did our job and did it well and I am not looking for a pat on the head (too funny).

If you don't know the acronyms for the company you work for then you are a part of the problem and are nothing more than a well paid Call Center dude.

Really....

Well your spelling tells the story..

What is a 'tome' anyway LM...O

Tampa is twice the size of COLS (it's COLS by the way)and we still consistently kicked your behind.

I did hear that your bug problems have escalated. LOL

And, your Football teams suck LOL!

Good luck with your acting career? Does CCi offer that degree? Oh right, no but since there are big shoes to fill if your next gig is a clown character we should pass the audit.

55206: That's because I got that job. Man, and what a job it was -- two months of fun in the sun and a nice chunk of moolah! And my employer was thrilled with the Everest subsidy! Yeah, the OP really lost out, but I must say I wish my career had lasted just a little longer.

The OP auditioned for the statue of liberty at an accounting firm in March and did not get the job. Even though Career Services had already paid 2 weeks salary.

55154: I've got to agree with you, the OP is really congratulating him/herself here. "Always helping and assisting" and they manage to get a few students jobs through GIS/MOCK/OJO (whatever those are -- probably the usual CCi "smile and dial" and "outreach" BS protocols). For the "not so lucky" then SS has "done our due diligence which is all that can be accepted." (I guess he/she means expected) Yeah, as long as you've logged a few calls, you can be proud of the company you work for, OP. Who cares if only the "lucky ones" get jobs?

What is the COLS campus? I've been here 6 years and never heard of that. Do you mean COS?

Bonez, you sure know how to ramble on and on and still not quite say anything at all. The content of your post is this: "Some of our students got jobs and I think I should get a pat on the head for it."

Better lives? They were ripped off, they could of had better lives for a fraction of the debt. Wake up.

I love Livevox and ready status. I live for them, thrive on them, can't live without them.

Livevox is a colossal waste of time. What a brilliant concept, let's waste all the human efforts contacting those who don't care and ignoring all of the inbound calls from people genuinely trying to get assistance and making them wait on hold for large amounts of time until they grow frustrated and hang up. This is all done for documentation purposes to "show" outreach efforts. What students need is for student services to pick up the phone when they call for help or answer emails, get help with classes, ensure they receive the materials needed to be successful; not an army of clones rob - dialing to have them complete an attendance appeal. Cut the Fat. Those students are wasting all parties' time and don't belong in school. Yet, all of the efforts are designed to retain them. What a joke and it's no wonder, the school are failing miserably.

Yeah, Tampa has big shoes to fill. Did you receive a stocking full of Crack for Christmas? Tampa was 4 tomes your size holding your heads above water since you opened.

093, there is always time for a sham. Which buys time, which buys another sham and so on. C'mon you know the deal, we've been doing it for years.

Are you serious? I worked at the CS Campus and I saw what was happening to get people to enroll, there was very little concern for the outcome of the students. The management was unethical and in fact I was there and saw what happened to the DOA who was doing the right thing, they got rid of her ass! Don't try saving yourselves now- too little too late.

It is tough to connect with a community of potential employers to match jobs with grads when you have press coverage like CCi has been getting. Add ECMC and you have yet another liability on your balance sheet. Unfortunately for students, nobody wants to collaborate, network, or share information with anyone affiliated with CCi. And I cannot blame them. A credible CS organization should be built from the ground up with the funds saved by squashing admissions and harassing students.
