I've been at Socle about a year now, and I really would like an answer to some questions I have about this guy. He is the most messed up manager I've ever worked for by far! So, for those of you old-timers (SFS): 1. How in the heck did DS get his job? Was he already at CCi and we got him from someone who wanted to get rid of him? 2. How in the world does he keep his job? Specifically, is KD such a dumb bitch that she has no idea what's going on here? What about HR? Have they ever even investigated this asshole? 3. WTF is the matter with him anyway? Alcohol? Drugs? Just poor impulse control?

So I work at Socle and have been there for two years. While managers airways piss people off cause they make us actually work for our pay checks, but what I don't understand are some of what is said about the mgmt team. I've yet to hear any true example of any of this shading ness, corrupt ness, being mean or assholes to their staff. There is a certain amount of work that needs to get done and we are paid to do it, pretty simple if you ask me. So all of you rude folks that attack these managers and their families, you obviously have a lot of hatred for them. So please share what they have truly done to you so we can understand your pain, otherwise We will assume your just a miserable dumbass trying to hurt all of our livelihoods. Looking forward to seeing some proof. FYI I have been written up for attendance and quality in the past so if anyone should be pissed it would be me, but I was the one who was late and messed up accounts so I deserved it.

And there you have it -- another Socle post and, of course, over 600 views. Even though the Socle department supposedly only has around 200 staff. I can see the appeal of them, even though I'm at EUO. The management there is so blatant about lying to their staff and just generally disrespecting them that they are truly despised. DS is a special case. Not only apparently the world's biggest a**-hole, but he's also gone on rants in front of staff that were all about thelayoff.com. That makes messing with him here so meta! I've never met DS, but I know of the KD that you mention in his threads. Once I went out to lunch at a restaurant near the mall (SA), and she was having lunch with Ken. It was really unsettling watching them. Her eyes were crazy and jerking everywhere like she was rabid or something, and she kept breaking out in weird squawks of laughter. Ken, I swear to God, was sitting there with this truly evil smirky look on his face. It wouldn't have seemed out of place if he did the Mr Burns finger tenting. What a creepy pair!
This isn't so much a DS comment as a general Socle comment. At this point in the Business Bingo game that we're playing, WHY are the higher ups still trying to paint us as being in a different company? I just for the life of me can't figure it freaking out! It's creepy knowing that we're being blatantly lied to. It makes me feel like a sheep being led to slaughter (yes, I can be a bit dramatic).

NO, OP, I disagree entirely and will change the title of this thread for you. "We Need to Have a Talk About Dave...ECMC Dave." See how much more relevant that is? Well, it's at least more relevant to the 99% of us who aren't in the Socle department, but it should be for you too. He's the guy who's going to influence the quality of your work life the most over the next year.
I think DS is the classic sociopath. Even when he's acting "nice", most people can tell there's something fake about it. He never really engages with people. He's actually quite sinister if you ask me, but then the very idea of sociopaths living among us chills me to the bone.
OP - in reference to your second posting, I have a request to make. As someone who potentially has a great deal to lose if Socle employees decide to screw their supervisors' careers with ECMC, I would ask you to give us a chance. We are all products of how CCI developed us as managers, and if our behaviors offend you, well I'm sorry but we follow KD's lead. We are capable of changing if ECMC has different standards. Even DS. Dave's a chameleon and will become whatever ECMC wants him to be if he stays on. I'm hearing that some of them are still going to try building a business as a servicer, though, so you probably don't have to worry about KD and DS. And, yes, they are horrible people, but give the rest of us a chance. You might hate DS's tantrums, but you need to trust me that I get a lot worse!
I have another question. So let's say that the deal goes through and we become ECMC employees, but DS and crew are still here? What I am saying is what if ECMC doesn't know about their behaviors and activities? Or maybe doesn't care? What will you guys do? Go to ECMC HR and hope that they're more ethical than CCI's was? I've been here (Tampa) almost since the beginning, and the answer to all three of your questions is the same...NOBODY KNOWS! There are lots of rumors about him and KD, but that sounds pretty ridiculous to me. I mean, yeah, a guy like that is going to find it hard to keep a job that pays the money he wants. But surely at some point it's just not worth it. I'd go with the theory that KD is just a "dumb bitch" as you so succinctly put it.
