Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Now that all the drivers have received their notices will they even make an effort?

Now that all the drivers have received their notices what will be the expectations daily for productivity? And dose anyone believe they will go on making that extra effort to compleat their routes.

Attention all Drivers who are losing jobs. Those retention bonus check to stay till the end is hardly anything when they combine it with your first check. I think a better bonus would have been to shove my handcart straight up CEO Ron Sargent ass.

I like how this websites removes comments that state the truth about the truth at staples. They let go of all these hard working people and are not expected to say any negative comments. All drivers keep in mind the company screws you over with the severance pay taxing the crap out of it so you get only half of your pay. Making more happen by closing up locations and slashing jobs . That was easy !

To all the Staples who are losing jobs because the company decided its cheaper to outsource the jobs . On behalf of all of the workers I want to tell Ron Sargent to go f*** himself and the other assholes in upper management who thought cutting jobs was a good idea. Take that part in your bull shit packet you handed to all of is that says we should not bad mouth the company and go wipe your asses with it you rotten cock suckers !

When they add your first severance check with your retention check after they take out all the taxes it's like losing a whole check . Payroll department said all severance is taxed higher . Would be nice if they can tell you that in the layoff notice. 8

Staples buying out Office Depot while cutting driver jobs is a real kick in the balls to every driver who is losing their job. Staples does not want anyone to say negative things about the company while they are sending people to the unemployment lines. Use to be a good place to work. Now they are just f***ing everyone over.

Attention all drivers! Be aware your severance pay is taxed up the ass and the retention check is added with your first check. Staples making more happen by closing locations and putting people out of work. Strive for 95 must have been the real slogan for shutting down 95 percent of SDO locations . Thank you STAPLES for f***ing us out of jobs !

For all you staples drivers that received your closing notice . One thing the bastards in HR fail to inform you is when they pay out your severance checks everyone of the checks is bonus taxed. Staples announces this bullshit crap of buying Office Depot yet they f*** their own hard working people out of jobs.

As a driver, it's still my intention to give an honest days work for an honest days pay until the very end. Having said that, the obsessing over daily production metrics is over. That ended the day the closure was announced. I'm not going to bother venting any frustrations over the companies layoff decision to the customers I deliver to, though. It serves no point, and I don't want to do anything that will possibly turn around and bite my ass re: putting my severance package in jeopardy. It IS going to get increasingly more difficult to give a shit as the termination day draws closer, but I'm not going to take it out on the customers I've been delivering to regularly for years. Why should I? The way I see it, their repeat business is what has enabled me to have steady work, and those customers weren't the ones who decided to close my SDO and shift my job to a contractor. And I'm not gonna bother bitching to local management, either, because that decision wasn't in their hands, either.

Never signed anything stating to withould from saying anything to customers... If they ask, I will answer... It they think it's negative oh well. Staples can terminate me and maybe I can get a judgement from staples like the 26 million the guy from la Mirada got last year. This company is dishonest and has a track record of supporting unethical practices. I wonder what happened to this place? Used to be a really good place to work.

I beleive there is a retention bonus for drivers who stay to the end, I know the drivers where Im located had one. Also, there was to be no negative talk with customers during the transition, anyone caught doing it would be terminated immediately or something to that aspect.
