Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Bonuses?

Some of the ones laid off (The Woodlands) had said management told them that they will receive a bonus (10%), sometimes during the first week of March. Has anyone else been told this from other places or is this just something they are throwing out there to appease the masses?

Re: Anonymous65522. Different departments utilize a different grading system. For example, a grade 10 in engineering is like a grade 32 in manufacturing. Also a grade 10 in D&E is salary, a grade 10 in support is hourly.

I may be wrong when I say this but in my case every year I get a bonus and my husband who worked for Pressure Pumping did not. I was also paid for being off on all Holidays and he was not. They said it was because he was guaranteed 40 hours a week whether he worked or not. He was laid off last year and all he received was a week of pay for every year that he had been there and the remaining vacation days that he had not used.

The bonus is paid to all BH employees who were employed in 2014. If you are laid off before March, you will still receive payment it will be paid in March , and it will be whatever you are entitled to, 10-15% This is all in the terms and conditions in the bonus document.

And entitled employees who are laid off are still entitled .

Most likely you won't get anything if you did not get it with your severance package

Policy says you have to be on active employment unless you are laid off. If you are fired or leave on your own you are not eligible. Anyone that is laid off would be eligible.

I find it hard to believe to. Per Baker policy you have to be on an active employee on the pay out date.

Did they actually say 10% or did they say "up to 10%"? I find it hard to believe that they would pay out the maximum bonus amount... Maybe I'm wrong!

Yes, I was told the same thing. First part of March I will receive my bonus. I was laid off in the first go around. I hear that future rounds may not be offered the same deals.
